Note: Södermalm is today home to some of the leading careerist, upper middle class liberals of Sweden. Long ago, it was a working class area. Today, a lot of ordinary swedish workers despise the Södermalm elitist clique. About Södermalm:

That's very unlikely, to be honest.
Muslims today make up for 3.9% of the swedish population and new government policies have put a halt to the muslim immigration.
However, muslim birth rates are high.
Most swedish muslims are very moderate and are more integrated into society than in, for instance, France where the situation is nuts.
Things might change, but overall one must admit the situation is under control.
Muslim dominated Rosengård in Malmö is a far worse place than anything that can be found in for instance my home city, Gothenburg.
The area of Angered in Gothenburg used to be a immigrant ghetto 5-10 years ago. I was there the other day in fact.
They're building nice condos everywhere and people drive around in nice Volvos and Mercedes Benz.
Sending the socialism of the 1970's down the drain is among best thing we've ever done in this country. The government of Sweden calls itself socialist, but the leading Social Democrats of today are in fact immensely corporate and investment friendly.

And the birthrate of secularists is well below the replacement level. The Freeper I pinged in my previous post has relatives in Malmö. Moderate Muslims are a myth. "Moderate" Muslims won't condemn radical Muslims.
Fighting islamofascism is something completely different from fighting islam.
If muslim immigrants work hard, condemn islamofascism, respect the law and treat native swedes (like me and my family) respectfully, I feel inclined to treat them with respect.
However, that doesn't mean Sweden should go back to importing hoards of muslims, especially not from the most underdeveloped countries of the world.
Many "muslims" I've met here in Sweden hate regimes like the one of Iran and several of them even eat pork!
But undeniably, we also have muslim criminal gangs (especially in Malmö), but I feel they are more of criminals than muslims.
Hopefully, succesfull Rosengård natives like Zlatan Ibrahimovic (major soccer star) and Timbuktu (successful hip hop artist) can inspire immigrant kids to seek other ways of gaining "respect" in society than senseless crime activities.

The tiny difference you make is important, but has come entirely out of fashion here on freep.
From what I've understood Rosengård is completely different from an area like Angered in Gothenburg. In Angered you'll find a lot of iranians and iraquis who have come to Sweden because they hated Saddam and the iranian mullahs as well as people originating from Chile and Finland and other christian countries. These people are not much of a problem.
There are also some immigrants and refugees from Africa (especially easter Africa), many of them on the other hand haven't got a clue about what modern society is all about.
To some extent, they benefit from living close to good people from these other groups.
In Rosengård, Malmö the latter group dominates the area and therefore the situation is worse.
Furthermore Angered in Gothenburg is a place where large companies have located, like for instance snack producer Estrella, providing the people there with work.
In Rosengård I think a majority is unemployed or working illegally.
That makes no sense....July 30th 2006.
