Activist doctors, huh? What does that mean? They are the most anti-trial lawyer group in the state, and they are backing Crist. Now, I'm saying you can drop the "Crist is a trial lawyer allegation" because of that endorsement. You don't think Gallagher would get HAMMERED in the general with his ethics violations, cheating on his wife, using drugs while a state rep, and repeated flip-flops on guns, abortion, taxes, etc. This is the guy you support? You do realize the reason that Gallagher won't go negative against Crist (even though he's over 20 points down) is because it will open a Pandora's that will explode in his face. Gallagher has over $1 million in 527 money sitting around which won't be used, because he knows what will happen if he goes negative.

You seem to hate trial lawyers, but Gallagher's most prolific fundraiser has bee John Sternberger, a trial lawyer. I also found this:

In Orlando, John Morgan (Florida's most notorious trial lawyer) noted that he has hosted multiple fund-raisers for Gallagher over the years, starting with Gallagher's 1986 campaign for governor.

"I'd tell Tom Gallagher to remember sitting on my back porch having a whiskey drink with me [after a 1986 fund-raiser]. Tom Gallagher didn't have a problem with it then," said Morgan, suggesting that Gallagher is trying to align himself with the most conservative wing of his party.

I am an experienced paralegal who worked for everybody who was anybody. Some were fair and some were dirtbags. There were more dirtbags than fair ones.

The fair ones happen to be for TOM GALLAGHER.

The dirtbags are for Crist because he's going to improve their profit margin.

Crist is indecisive except when he's returning a favor for a special interest. He's a deferring panderer or a pandering deferrer. Take your pick.

Gallagher is pro-2nd amendment:

Gallagher said he would support HB-129 (Lawful ownership, possession & use of firearms and other weapons) while Crist said he was still deciding. (Crist is not very decisive, is he?)

Charlie Crist is a RINO. It is paramount that we do not elect any RINO's for gov. in ANY STATE.

Why?

Because in recent history, all of the POTUS have been governors (except for Bush 41, who was VP). If we have a LIBERAL RINO, and a LIBERAL Dem running for POTUS, We the People will have no chance at a conservative president in a future election.

Gallagher has a strong anti-NRA record starting back in 1994 when he ran for governor. He supported AWB, bullet registration, and prohibition of sales to people under 21. He has apparently had a change of heart, which is convenient, since he is trying to paint himself as a conservative now, even though he has been a moderate for years. HB-129, if I'm thinking of the right bill, would make it a FELONY for small business owners to restrict access of guns on their own private property. Sorry, I'm both a gun and business owner, and I think private property rights trump your right as an employee to carry on my property. If I was granted immunity from civil prosecution for any gun related incidents on my property, then I might be convinced that it is a good law. However, if you aren't going to pay my liability insurance, then you should have to abide by my rules when you're on my property. The NRA will clearly endorse Crist, who has ALWAYS had a pro 2nd amendment record if/when they endorse.Do you really think Gallagher can win a general with all the ethics charges, repeated flip-flops, day trading scandal, drug use, and infidelity? If we're lucky, he'll drop out and help Crist save money for the upcoming general.

Maybe you misread. "Gallagher said he would support HB-129 (Lawful ownership, possession & use of firearms and other weapons). I know that you wouldn't be against the lawful ownership, possession and use of firearms and other weapons. Plus, Crist couldn't even make up his mind about it.

I have nothing against converts. I, myself have changed my position on a few things, once I learned the facts.

Gallagher was cleared of the charges.

Crist is liberal on the social issues, and those are the most important issues of all. Gallagher is conservative on the social issues.

I also wouldn't trust Crist's association with Donald Trump (because of eminent domain). Trump hosted fundraisers for Crist. Trump tried to take an elderly woman's home away from her for his casino in Atlantic City.

No, HB129 makes it a felony to prevent anyone from keeping a gun in their car while on your property. I was wrong in that it also has a provision which confers immunity to the property owner if something happens because of the lawfully stored gun. That makes the bill much more palatable, IMO. I think I still would oppose it, though, because like I said, I think private property rights and my abilily to determine what I want on my property should trump one's desire to store a gun in their car. If you don't like it, then you can surely park somewhere else.
As for Crist being liberal on social issues, I guess that's in the eye of the beholder, and each voter will have to decide which individual issue is more important. I'm a fiscal conservative, first and foremost, and Crist (unlike Gallagher) has never supported a tax increase. I'm socially conservative too, but on my most imporant social issues (tort reform and gun control), Crist still has an advantage.

Please read more about HB-129. Not only is Gallagher in favor of HB-129, but so is the NRA.

I'm as fiscal conservative, too, but the life issue is my litmus test. What good is money if you are not alive?
