I have a hard time distinguishing between the Pakistanis and the Indians. During this recent heat wave after I get off NJ Transit, I've been walking from Penn Station uptown rather than take the subway. The last place I want to be caught in a blackout is underground in the NYC subway.

OK my first thought is why the heck did they tell the terrorists what they did wrong and how to fix it.

Much harder to do in Germany. Since the time of the Red Army Faction, the public has been very aware of unattended packages of any kind. Because people don't leave their stuff sitting around, any packages that are left stick out.

This didn't make the NBC Nightly News. Must've been bumped by more important topics.

Professionally but inexpertly built? Professionally built, but inexpertly operated? Possibly the bomb was built in one place, and only filled at the last minute by someone who thought more is always better.

Talk about loose lips. I'm sure the islamists won't make that mistake next time. Perhaps the NYT can do a follow-up story that provides schematics and precise instruction on how to make one that goes off the way it is supposed to.

one that ran between Moenchengladbach and Koblenz. Ah, yes. The all-important military targets of Moenwhoozit and Koblenz!
Meanwhile, the Israelis are excoriated in the press for bombing innocents in their war against the Jizzbollah creeps.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it would help to include a recipe. With pictures and formulae. Maybe an FAQ section and a supply list with recommendations from the experts on where to get the best stuff.

police suspect the only reason the bombs didnt detonate was because the gas bottles that were to ignite them were too fullThat should help the jihadists! "Loose brains explode trains."

Two-ssstage bomb, probably. The butane tank explodes because of expansion of the butane from the heat from the initial explosion.

Have the Spanish awakened? Have the Brits? Have the French?
No.
Neither will the Germans.

Maybe the Germans will WAKE UP!They have. They're the only European country besides Britain that agreed with us that a ceasefire isn't a good idea until the Hezzbullies have been eliminated.
The Germans have changed their tune since the election of Angela Merkel.

Why don't they just publish a detailed list of "how tos" and "common mistakes to be avoided" for would-be terrorist bombers??
