I really try to avoid vanity posting but in this case I have to. I watched with fascination the documentary Obsession on Google video. The documentary about the Islamic war on the West quickly moved up the most viewed and rated films until it was removed by Google. I wonder if there is a connection that it was replaced with a Moonbat film titled 911 Cover Up which is now rated as #4 on the list. There is something very wrong here that people need to know. Below are the inks to Google's video home page and to the disgusting 911 Cover Up video.

Google rocks. Just don't click on the sponsored links to the right and above. That's how they make their money.
Thanks for the information. We are fighting a war on many fronts.
I'm getting annoyed with Google. Anyone have any recommendations for alternatives?
I predicted that goog would take it down. It told the truth.
In today's PC-dominated USA, You Must Never Say Who Is Responsible For Terrorism.
So is there anywhere lese the good video is posted? And did Google give a reason?
One thing that may be going on is that liberals may be more willing to complain and try to get content banned. Contrary to what one might read elsewhere...
Google is a great search engine and email but I really question their motives on this.
They're all lefty.
What are you going to do?
Just use Google but don't click on the sponsored links.
The makers of that video may have asked Google to remove it. They are, after all, offering it for sale.
It is on YouTube also.
Don't know. The movie is coming out on DVD.
Perhaps the film owners asked it to be removed. Was it an officially sanctioned listing?

Try Clusty.com. It's better than Google, IMHO.
I bet sony made them take it down. Can't make money on a movie thats being shown for free.
"The makers of that video may have asked Google to remove it. They are, after all, offering it for sale."
That's a reason I can accept. Do you know this to be fact? I've already ordered the DVD. Obsession is a must see.
Ever hear of Google Bombing?
alternatives?
Google rocks like communism rocks. Try ask.com and you will be pleasantly surprised how much of the time free republic comes up!
Just use Google but don't click on the sponsored links.

You are right, they are all leftists. That is why I would NEVER pay for any access right to Google or Yahoo, but their advertisers do that...
See the link I posted in this thread. You can buy the whole film complete with extras. Reward the filmmakers for their work.
Some of the referenced media sites in that documentary are regularly culled for articles for FR too. Good stuff.
At the screening I attended a lib in the audience (who applauded when Michael Moore said "there is no threat, no global threat, from terrorism" and cheered when a jihadist rapper repeated referred to Bush as "Satan") questioned the filmmaker about why he didn't "balance" the experts, "Why wasn't Noam Chomsky interviewed?".
Again, if we can't agree on the basics (the rapper laughs over footage of the WTC explosion and calls for the murder of Bush and Blair), then his point his "pointless". We can never get around to debate. He seemed to find the points in the video to be justified. Terrorism is not justified.
I have been told that it was taken down due to a complaint from a copyright holder. Under the DMCA google has no choice but to comply. I mean they are selling it for 19.95 so the owners of the video might not like having it available for free.
I think it's better than google.
Sponsored links are just that - they've been paid for. If FR paid, they'd be given a higher rank as well.
this is good google has. they should show this video everywhere. It almost comes off as a satire of these idiots.
>>why he didn't "balance" the experts, "Why wasn't Noam Chomsky interviewed?". <<
Oh lord...not that Noam is not a bright guy - he's really bright... but he's a linguistics professor - that's not really the same as an expert in anti-terrorism.

Noam has countless video tracts of agit prop.
How many conservatives are interviewed in them?
You said -- I watched with fascination the documentary Obsession on Google video. The documentary about the Islamic war on the West quickly moved up the most viewed and rated films until it was removed by Google."
Well, it would be removed for good reason. The people who produced it are using it for fund raising and are also selling it.
I paid good money (for their fund raising efforts) to get it now. I've had it for over a month, now. I don't think it's available to the public, yet -- but will soon be.

Again, the DVD should have all kinds of supplements (and you can't easily play those through google anyway).
We need to send Netflix requests to stock this title. And Blockbuster mailorder, Walmart, etc. Wherever you have a membership.
I saw this at a film festival screening this year but would like to see the supplements so a rental makes sense for me.
Google doesn't sell index placement.
And their search engine is starting to bog down, probably due to having to service all that other crap.
Ask.com
I get more accurate searches, and it offers you a series of choices to make the search more definitive.

Sorry, I have to have my Google Earth. As others have said, just don't click on their sponsers.
I also ordered the film and will loan it to anyone who shows the slightest interest. It is an amazing film and should be a must see for everyone.
any recommendations for alternatives?
log off

didn't google and Microsoft help crackdown on Chinese dissidents and then say they would not help the US to find terrorists?
Do you use Microsoft or Cisco products? They support China and their great firewall also. Quite a few US based companies proved the tech that china uses for their firewall.
Why the surprise? Google explains it's agreement to help the Chinese dictators impose political censorship as "just the following the law", which is a frank admission that they see moral equivalency with the "law" (decree) of a dictator and the laws people in a free society make. Their greed is no different than any corrupt corporation, in spite of all their "free speech" and "net neutrality" self-promotion here in the west.
There is something far worse than any economic corruption, and that is moral and political corruption, like the lefties at Goggle practice.
As far as I know;
Yes to #1
No to #2
But what do I know?
Cheers,

what exactly is your complaint? that google has a ad on its site that you dont like? Then dont go to google anymore....and surely dont PROMOTE it
Actually, I do NOT use Cisco, period, and the only MS products I have are those that my employer gives me to use.
At home, I use AMD and Open Source whenever possible.
Naturally, some things cannot be avoided, but I strive to avoid them when possible.
Cheers,

Oh.. wait...
Google is my friend, but I suspect that it, like AOL, Microsoft, and other technology companies where very young people run them tend to be left wing in their politics.
How can we expect brilliant, but ignorant people who own jet airplanes, to understand their limitations?
It can be found here:

Google is OFF my favorites list. I just had to reinstall my operating system because of a virus/malware that could only have come from clicking one of their links.
No more for me, thanks.
I now use ask.com and will try dogpile.com.
The Google people are Arabist and leftist. They are not on our side in this war.
