That was my first thought actually, tho he seems a little stocky for it. I've always had a soft spot for Retriever Shepard mixes...they seem to get the best of both, smart without being high strung, beautiful, and very good with ppl.

My guess is an Ovcharka or Ovcharka mix. They have been imported to Israel and are common in any former USSR countries. They are used by the Russian military and police. VERY agressive breed.

I find those pictures to be very depressing. Young women their ages should be smiling and thinking about college and guys and such, not about fighting for their country and their lives.
I often wonder if the general populace in this country have what it takes to endure what the Israelis have had to deal with for the past century.....
