An 8-year-old boy accused of sexually assaulting a second-grade classmate last week at a St. Paul elementary school now faces expulsion.
The incident happened on the playground at Four Seasons A+ Elementary, which holds classes year round, as students waited for buses just before the end of the day July 24.
The boy is believed to have approached an 8-year-old girl on a slide, forced her to kiss his private parts and then simulated sex on her, according to school district officials and members of the girl's family.
The slide was enclosed by a tube, making it impossible for the teacher on duty to see what was happening, said Marilyn Baeker, acting area superintendent who oversees Four Seasons.
St. Paul police spokesman Tom Walsh confirmed that police received a report alleging sexual contact between two juveniles, both age 8, had occurred at Four Seasons.
A sex crimes investigator looked at the case, but because of the suspect's age, it went no further with police, Walsh said. Under Minnesota law, children under age 10 cannot be charged with criminal offenses.
Police referred the case to a Ramsey County program for young offenders, All Children Excel. The program aims to identify children age 9 and under who are at high risk of becoming what is known as serious, violent and chronic offenders.
The boy was suspended and has been recommended for expulsion, said district spokesman Rich Goldsmith.
Another second-grade boy who was present during the incident was suspended for a week, Baeker said. She said that boy is not believed to have participated directly in the alleged assault but also did not intervene to help.

One of Klinton's illegitimate progeny, perhaps?
well, they probably started sex-ed in Kindergarten in that state
Bizarre. This would make me want to look into the home life of this child. I'm trying hard not to make assumptions, but it is so strange.
The kid must have just hearing the unfiltered history of the Clinton presidency.

The more that our pop culture sexualizes children, the more this kind of thing will happen.
movies/TV mimic reality or child mimics movies/TV?
***"The Clinton Legacy" ping***
No question, where these kids got the idea from....
And in the peculiar underground world in which school children dwell in, these sorts of ideas have WIDE currency. No matter HOW much their parents show concern and try to keep them protected.
Another strong argument for home-schooling.
When I was 8 years old, I didn't know what sex was.
good .
BTTT
a boy of 8 does not know about pelvic thrusts or oral sex unless he's seen hard core pornography, or been abused himself. I agree, look into the home life of that boy. This doesn't pass the smell test.
Iam mid 50's single, well off in rural CT.neither do I
Lol
Then I realized he probably learned about it from TV News during the rein of our previous President, Bill Clinton, who made oral sex an acceptable topic of discussion.
Clinton's memoirs.
Kind of makes one wonder if one or both of the parents are into pornography.
(Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)
I for one think it's disgusting for anyone to behave this way, let alone an 8 year old boy. Something is NOT right, and whether it's the home life, parenting, what he's seen on tv or (real life for that matter) and/or what he's being taught in school, sadly, everything could come into play in today's world.
But I haven't seen anyone look at the other side of the coin here, and ask if what the girl and her family have said could be "false" in any way or made up? Who is to say this little girl isn't abused and/or is looking for attention or something?
In today's world anything is possible. I pray not, but wow... They say there are 3 sides to a story, hers, his and the truth, and I can only imagine the truth behind this story.
Given that Clinton left office five and a half years ago, and this child is eight, I doubt that a two and a half-year old was watching much TV News at the time.
Amen! Getting to be annoying to try to watch something with my son only to see 10 or 20 commercials of "Bob and his 48 hour boner" being run ad-nausium. Not to mention the underware commmercials are getting out of control as well.
The odds are far more likely that he himself is the victim of abuse, or has seen this sort of activity at home, which is a form of abuse itself. This is one situation that I hope child protective services is really examining hard.
And I pray that the girl is getting some guidance and help. Something like that can make a child feel dirty and defiled for decades.
I have to wonder what this child has been exposed to. I am not saying the boy was or is abused but maybe mom and dad watch porn or forget to lock the bedroom door. Children do not come up with this behavior on their own.
I'm watching the local coverage on this right now. Because the alleged assault occured in an enclosed tube slide, hiding the incident........you guess it!!
They're dismantling and/or capping off all of the tube slides on the playground!!!!
Watch for legislative action banning any sort of tube slides in the "State Where Nothing Is Allowed".
Registration of slides, restrictions on high-capacity slides, prohibition on "junk slides", no "kid-killer" slides, amor-piercing slides...
If it saves so much as ONE CHILD from intra-slide abuse, then it's worth it!
it said he "forced her to kiss his private parts" and then said that he "simulated sex" on her. So I interpret that he was trying for her to do oral sex, and then thrusted up against her.
8 years old!
I had no idea what my weenie was for at that age!
ok fine
I recognize your sarcasm.
But I'm tellin' ya..........
We used to have a state legislator by the name of Wes Skoglund. He had a thing about "window peekers". Everything that Republicans supported and he opposed, he claimed would be beneficial, in some way to perverts and window peekers.
In 2003, when we finally got the "Minnesota Citizens Personal Protection Act" (CCW Shall Issue) passed into law, over Wes's filibusters, he claimed that the state would be overrun with permitted window peekers carrying concealed weapons.
I'm not kidding.
The boy has either been abused himself, or (more likely) has easy access to pornography at home, either on cable or on the Internet.
Unfortunately stuff like this is happening ever more frequently at school. At my local primary school a young teacher was asked on the first day of school what color her panties were (this was asked by a 7 year old boy).
Your points are all well taken and logical. I stand corrected. Thanks.

Brave New World?
Probably perfectly normal home: No TV screening. Kids get to stay up late. View the PlayBoy channel. Wouldn't want to inhibit their creativity or freedom of expression. (sarcasm intended)
I know, like the book...
You would be amazed how often this sort of thing happens, and at what early ages. Very few actually make the news. I deal with it regularly. Usually the parents are either druggies who have exposed the kids to pornography, either deliberately or inadvertently, or they're just completely oblivious to the effect that their own behavior, words, "entertainment", etc. has on their children. I have run across situations in which I believed that parents were actually promoting sexualized behavior in their children for profit. Darn hard to prove though.
Sometimes the kids see the parents (or mom and boyfriend, more often than not) engaged in sexual activity. Way too many parents, have very little, if any, sense of decency, self-respect or responsibility for their children any more.
Did any of you stop to think that maybe the kid has been sexualized by a pedophile?
No, it's Clinton's fault.
Naw, he should be home-schooled! (/sarc)
LOL! But, Bob isn't the 48-hour boner guy. He's the "take a magic pill and watch your penis grow" guy.
I expect that has been looked at. Typically, there is enough information gleaned from this type of investigation to determine whether or not to substantiate the allegations, and if they hadn't been substantiated, it is highly unlikely that we would be reading about it in a public forum. In my experience, it isn't usually that difficult to figure out who's telling the truth between a couple of 8 year olds. Often, the offender will admit to it.
Whoever gets to it first.
And now that you're older?
