C.S.N.& Y..(snip)..And there are others.

That's apparent. It's amazing that becoming a celebrity automatically turns you into some kind of geopolitical mastermind as well.

Shut up and ENTERTAIN me.

The Dixie Chicks have been mostly blacklisted from country radio ever since singer Natalie Maines criticized President Bush, despite the fact that the group's album "Taking The Long Way" is one of the biggest sellers in country music this year.

FatCat liberals buying and dumping them in homeless shelters and land fills? Is that what's happening here?

George Soros etc. can by tons of CDs anonymously.

It's hard to hide empty seats at "Sold Out" concerts.

Stockholders of their label should be VERY pissed that money is being spent on a "no sale" documentary.

BTW--they should rot in hell just for making lousy covers of Stevie Nicks songs.

Instead of driving over the bridge from St. Pete to Tampa, Florida concert fans could plan a quick trip to Saskatchewan or Alberta in November. Brrrrr.

Stockholders of their label should be VERY pissed that money is being spent on a "no sale" documentary.

A short trip down memory lane: SONY Music sent an email to country radio stations:

the protest against the Chicks was orchestrated by the Free Republic, a right-wing Web site. The Free Republic certainly had -- and still has -- its share of anti-Chicks postings. But I also have read literally hundreds of Chicks postings the last few days on a number of Web sites across the political spectrum, and they show a genuine consensus from country fans saying that Maines in effect filed for divorce from country audiences.

regarding their cd sales

It is the top selling cd this year.

However, compared to their previous cd, sales are down 70%.

So you think someone like George Sorose or some other Hollywood type liberal fatcat can't buy a few million albums to make a point? Gimme a break. If people loved the Chicks music so much, they would show up for a concert or two. Nope, IMHO the real people aren't buying - they're not buying any of it...

You mean when they alienated 3/4 of their fanbase by hurling insults at the CIC in a foreign country at the beginning of a war? When those fans decided not to support them anymore that's blacklisting? Who knew? By the way DCX: I'm not ready to make nice.

I believe it wasn't the comments about Bush that alienated their fan base as much as some of their insulting comments about their fans in an interview some time later.

Shhhh, don't tell them. They still think it's over President Bush. The Dixie Chicks obviously think people are required to listen to them after they are insulted by three dumb*sses who think they can sing.
