As the mainstream media is so arrogant that they feel they can pull anything over anyone’s eyes because they are in agreement that the public is so intellectually beneath them, it was only a matter of time before they tried to pull another fast one.

And it wasn’t long before they got busted….

Reuters drops Lebanese photographer over doctored image
Sun Aug 6, 2006 10:43 PM BST

... "The photographer has denied deliberately attempting to manipulate the image, saying that he was trying to remove dust marks and that he made mistakes due to the bad lighting conditions he was working under," said Moira Whittle, the head of public relations for Reuters....

Adnan Hajj will wind up suing the American-based Adobe Photoshop company for his own application error in using a pirated version of their software (without access to help menus). He'll win millions in his Class Action suit sponsored by James Sokolove. Sean Penn will play him in the Hollywood blockbuster that'll sweep the Cannes film festival but receive lackluster results in theatres across America.

Despite claims that there are editors, most of this stuff is just shoveled in and shoveled out. Many moons ago, I tried to become a cartoonist (not much success). Anyway, I took some work in to the local newspaper. He handed me a stack of cartoons probably three inches thick, and told me that was the syndication submission for one day. Thousands of these photos go through every day. Most of them get little review, other than a quick glance, and are shoveled back out. While Reuters is controlled by subversive left wing jerks, there is obviously an Islamist propaganda wing operating as "free-lancers" in the area. When you add that to the fact that if someone agrees with an argument they're a lot less likely to look at it skeptically, it makes it pretty easy to slip doctored or staged photos into the mix.

Reuters is clearly working with the terrorists. Israel should fire a missile at Reuters headquarters before Reuters' propaganda machine incites the Arab Street any further.

'...it makes it pretty easy to slip doctored or staged photos into the mix."
What has been missing in the western world was the comprehension of who they were dealing with. This assumption of honesty (on Reuter's part) of the 'good faith' of these arab photographers is so incredulous to those of us who know the middle east well it makes them seem like amateurs. Or like you so clearly say, their skepticism was compromised due to their political leanings.
