Truckers at inspection stations are now getting stickers that show their inspections are valid for US, CA and MX, so no, not a surprise.

Damn. And yet there are those still in denial about what's happening right before their eyes.

Ever other candidate in the race -- Bell, Strayhorn, Kinky, Werner -- has stated objection to the TTC. So has the state Republican Party.

"Damn. And yet there are those still in denial about what's happening right before their eyes."

If you're referring to 'them' here, I don't think they disagree or can't see what's happening, despite their stupid 'tinfoil' hat statements. IMO, truth be told, they fully support this Bush agenda... free trade, open borders, cheap slave labor, and amnesty for both illegals and their employers and just like Bush, are willing to risk national security in order to get it.

The taking of land by eminent domain has always been painful to the people losing their land.   But the amount of private property being planned for the TT-C, and the full NASCO project goes beyond logic or reason!   A quarter mile wide highway, why stop there, why not asphalt all of North America?   And yes, Texans should be up in arms over this socialistic land grab, because make no mistake, this is the epitome of Socialism at work!   Moreover, these projects are for Mexico and Mexican truck drivers only, and the eventual Un-Constitutional globalization mentality towards a NAU.   Other then lip service and cheer leading, Mexico hasn't donated one inch of land.   However, have dumped thirty million of their huddled masses of counterfeited false ID's, Social Security Cards, Driver Licenses, drug trafficking, prostitution, gangs, money laundering on us.

"You can’t fault Gov. Rick Perry for wanting to solve Texas’ transportation woes."

The TT-C was hatched way before Perry even thought about being governor of Texas.   Being originally from Souuthern California, I don't fault any state to solve congestion and traffic problems.   But, nowhere in Texas can traffic be compared to Southern California, so I can't buy into the theory that warrant a quarter mile wide highway.   The TT-C and larger NASCO Corridor are believed to be part of a much larger conspiracy theory of eventual loss of American sovereignty.   To much information have proven the "Globalization," "North American Union," and "New World Order," theorys to be true.

I agree with that statement 100%.

What about any of that nonsense has proven to be true?

You guys are reduced to talking to yourselves, mostly, as the rest of FR recognizes these TTC threads to be full of this kooky conspiracy foolishness.

Being a Conservative Republican myself, I hope Perry is reelected in November.   The good people of Texas will have to decide that, not I.   However, his reelection won't mean a mandate for the TT - Corridor and the destruction of American sovereignty.   Sorry, I'm not convinced that spending a trillion dollars for a super toll highway from Mexico to Canada, for Mexican truck drivers, are in the best interests of America, and the American people.

I'm agnostic on the TTC. The only reason I would support it is that it would relieve congestion on I-35 so that I could drive it in peace. I-35 is already a parking lot on certain days and at certain times, and that will only get worse.

Look, other then disruptive BS, and your thread crapping useless insults, present something of substance to support your rant...if you can. And yes, you'd be surprised how many of us are privately, and seriously discussing this issue. With that said, when you present something to support your position, we'll continue, otherwise cheers!

John Hawkins debunking Jerome Corsi.   After you read it, I believe you'll find that John Hawkins didn't do his homework, and  this article can be easily debunked to favor Corsi's facts.

"By 2010, the integration of Mexico, Canada and the U.S. will be almost complete. Congress and the media will not know what happened. Americans will be as clueless as ever; thanks to the complicity of the brain-dead media, the triumph of a bloodless bureaucratic elitist coup will become a reality, or close to it." -- Diane Alden

"President Bush is pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy....Why doesn't President Bush just tell the truth? His secret agenda is to dissolve the United States of America into the North American Union." -- Jerome Corsi

Judging by the three hysterical quotes you've just read, you'd think that the United States was about to be dragged, kicking and screaming, into some sort of merger with Canada and Mexico.

However, that's not exactly true. As a matter of fact, to be completely accurate, it's not true at all. But, since claims of this sort are spreading like wildfire on the right, it seemed like a good idea to take the time to tear out the underpinnings of this conspiracy theory. So, let's explore some of the pieces of "evidence" that support the North American Union conspiracy theory and see how well they bear up under scrutiny.

Bush Administration Quietly Plans NAFTA Super Highway

by Jerome R. Corsi
Posted Jun 12, 2006

Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn.

Once complete, the new road will allow containers from the Far East to enter the United States through the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, bypassing the Longshoreman’s Union in the process. The Mexican trucks, without the involvement of the Teamsters Union, will drive on what will be the nation’s most modern highway straight into the heart of America. The Mexican trucks will cross border in FAST lanes, checked only electronically by the new “SENTRI” system. The first customs stop will be a Mexican customs office in Kansas City, their new Smart Port complex, a facility being built for Mexico at a cost of $3 million to the U.S. taxpayers in Kansas City.

As incredible as this plan may seem to some readers, the first Trans-Texas Corridor segment of the NAFTA Super Highway is ready to begin construction next year. Various U.S. government agencies, dozens of state agencies, and scores of private NGOs (non-governmental organizations) have been working behind the scenes to create the NAFTA Super Highway, despite the lack of comment on the plan by President Bush. The American public is largely asleep to this key piece of the coming “North American Union” that government planners in the new trilateral region of United States, Canada and Mexico are about to drive into reality.

Just examine the following websites to get a feel for the magnitude of NAFTA Super Highway planning that has been going on without any new congressional legislation directly authorizing the construction of the planned international corridor through the center of the country.

  • NASCO, the North America SuperCorridor Coalition Inc., is a “non-profit organization dedicated to developing the world’s first international, integrated and secure, multi-modal transportation system along the International Mid-Continent Trade and Transportation Corridor to improve both the trade competitiveness and quality of life in North America.” Where does that sentence say anything about the USA? Still, NASCO has received $2.5 million in earmarks from the U.S. Department of Transportation to plan the NAFTA Super Highway as a 10-lane limited-access road (five lanes in each direction) plus passenger and freight rail lines running alongside pipelines laid for oil and natural gas. One glance at the map of the NAFTA Super Highway on the front page of the NASCO website will make clear that the design is to connect Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. into one transportation system.

  • Kansas City SmartPort Inc. is an “investor based organization supported by the public and private sector” to create the key hub on the NAFTA Super Highway. At the Kansas City SmartPort, the containers from the Far East can be transferred to trucks going east and west, dramatically reducing the ground transportation time dropping the containers off in Los Angeles or Long Beach involves for most of the country. A brochure on the SmartPort website describes the plan in glowing terms: “For those who live in Kansas City, the idea of receiving containers nonstop from the Far East by way of Mexico may sound unlikely, but later this month that seemingly far-fetched notion will become a reality.”

  • The U.S. government has housed within the Department of Commerce (DOC) an “SPP office” that is dedicated to organizing the many working groups laboring within the executive branches of the U.S., Mexico and Canada to create the regulatory reality for the Security and Prosperity Partnership. The SPP agreement was signed by Bush, President Vicente Fox, and then-Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Tex., on March 23, 2005. According to the DOC website, a U.S.-Mexico Joint Working Committee on Transportation Planning has finalized a plan such that “(m)ethods for detecting bottlenecks on the U.S.-Mexico border will be developed and low cost/high impact projects identified in bottleneck studies will be constructed or implemented.” The report notes that new SENTRI travel lanes on the Mexican border will be constructed this year. The border at Laredo should be reduced to an electronic speed bump for the Mexican trucks containing goods from the Far East to enter the U.S. on their way to the Kansas City SmartPort.

  • The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is overseeing the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) as the first leg of the NAFTA Super Highway. A 4,000-page environmental impact statement has already been completed and public hearings are scheduled for five weeks, beginning next month, in July 2006. The billions involved will be provided by a foreign company, Cintra Concessions de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A. of Spain. As a consequence, the TTC will be privately operated, leased to the Cintra consortium to be operated as a toll-road.

The details of the NAFTA Super Highway are hidden in plan view. Still, Bush has not given speeches to bring the NAFTA Super Highway plans to the full attention of the American public. Missing in the move toward creating a North American Union is the robust public debate that preceded the decision to form the European Union. All this may be for calculated political reasons on the part of the Bush Administration.

A good reason Bush does not want to secure the border with Mexico may be that the administration is trying to create express lanes for Mexican trucks to bring containers with cheap Far East goods into the heart of the U.S., all without the involvement of any U.S. union workers on the docks or in the trucks.

“We’re the gateway to Mexico, we have to stop it here,” said Susan Cook. “It’s a NAFTA highway from the deep ports of Mexico,” said Bill Robinson.

Texans should be screaming against this nightmarish intrusion into their state.

Has anyone else wondered why everything seems to be planned in favor of Mexico, rather than America? We've had enough of Mexico. This will only increase the invasion to the point where the rest of Mexico will be here.

We need a pro-American President, pro-American Senators, and pro-American Representatives, FOR A CHANGE.

"Texans should be screaming against this nightmarish intrusion into their state."

Exactly.   For sure, I'm not a Texan, nevertheless, I'm outraged by Mexico's intrusion in the United States, and the lack of will of Washington to stop them.   How any true American, or so called open border lobbyist can think it's OK to sell-off America, goes beyond comprehension.   More like selling their socialistic and treasonous souls to the devil.

From the article, it appears that they are. Its just that the internationalists that have infected our government at every level, are not listening.
