Page 1 above the fold in yesterday's New York Times featured a photo (below) by our new acquaintance Adnan Hajj.
I suspect that not all is as it appears to be in the photo, and somehow doubt that Times readers will ever learn why that might be the case.
The Reuters caption reads: "A severely wounded Lebanese civilian is carried away on a stretcher at Maameltain bridge, after it was targeted by Israeli air strikes, in the north of Beirut August 4, 2006. (Adnan Hajj/Reuters)" (Thanks to reader David Butz.)

In addition, look at the fabric of the litter. Had this man's weight been carried fully by the litter, the material would be stretched taught.

IMHO, a "severely" wounded person would not be able to lift their head off the stretcher.
Kinda like "is." I guess it depends on your definition.

Re:
Care to clue? 1) This Hajj guy was a stringer photographer for Reuters in Lebenon.
2) He got busted for photoshopping and was fired.
3) All of his photos have been purged from the Reuters database.
My point is that this guys work was good enough for the front page of the new york times at least twice.

Here is a different photo from Maameltain bridge. Let's do a side-by-side comparison and see if anything looks odd:

There's been no one able to call them on it (until recently).

Chad Gore said this well...IMHO.

2) He got busted for photoshopping and was fired.
3) All of his photos have been purged from the Reuters database.

I noticed that as well. One explanation is that the photos were taken from opposite sides of the bridge.

Camera man in the back and the other people on the left of the photo, there is sun on them.
Look at the guy on the left to the camera man's right. Now look at the perspective of the "his" feet. If the camera is facing him, why are we seeing so much of the tops of his feet and look at the perspective of the ciggarette butt.

All that's missing from your photoshop is the pic of Lee Harvey Oswald posing in his backyard with his rifle and Marxist literature.

Okay, uhm...
THIS IS A STUPID POST.
Stop looking for crap, if it aint there. So it is some drip on a stretcher. Big deal. Nothing to say it is or is not fake.
Some of you whack posters need to get a life.
We busted the photographer out already on something he definitely altered with photoshop. Now you're just trying to find crap and pretending like something is actually there.
Please. Stop wasting bandwidth.
