(Obviously, our criminal justice system was modelled after the British Colonial system which preceded it. My point being, the panti-waists who are currently administering "justice" in this country are WAY off base.)

What is it about women who write to serial killers in prison? I just don't get that.
I lived in San Diego while this was going on; I can't remember if he did any killings down there or not. They seemed to be mostly in L.A. and San Francisco.

The only thing I can figure is that there are some women out there that are as twisted and evil as some of the men are.

Dianne Feinstein, then mayor of San Francisco, held a press conference and revealed this information. To our national shame, that piece of excrement now infests the Senate of the United States.

Why would you think someone named Richard Ramirez is related to Geraldo?

One of his murders took place within a block of my home.
How frightening. You must have been living in fear until he was caught.
I read a lot of true crime books but almost could not finish the Night Stalker story.
What a vile creature.

Well, it was something we thought about, but I wouldn't term it as fear. I was never worked up over it, but it was something we were cognisant of.
He was a vile individual. I didn't read much about him, but it was evident the guy was into the Satanic thing and was a sub-human beast.
It baffles me how it can take this long to put a person like him to death.
We could have the devil himself, knowing it, and still take decades to do him in.

Family resemblence maybe? Reminds me of Jerry Rivers before the chair broke his nose.

Hmmmmm . . . he does have those wide-apart eyes and wide nose bridge that Geraldo used to have, pre-Nazi. (That was a killer show, btw. I skipped class to see the skinheads.)

That's because he gave up on his appeals. Weren't there other murderers who gave up on their appeals and their lawyers just did their appeals anyway?

McVeigh is the only one I've heard of that's given up on his appeals at the federal level, though their have been some others convicted at the state level that have.
You're partly right on the point that their lawyers go on appealing anyway. Usually what happens is the defendant's lawyer appeals the defendant's decision to stop pursuing appeals based upon some form of mental incompetence (such as severe depression).
The result of this is usually a judge appoints a psychiatrist to examine the defendant, the psychiatrist declares him competent, and the appeal is dismissed. There may be exceptions to this, but I'm not aware of any.

He should write some children books and get nominated for a noble peace prize.
