AP Beirut Photo Raises Questions (Burka Lady)

A woman has made two appearances in photographs used by the Associated Press and Reuters, allegedly wailing over the destruction of her Beirut home. US bloggers have however noticed that photographs were taken two weeks apart from each other, according to times stamps on the images, and that the photographs were taken in different locations.
"Either this woman is the unluckiest multiple home owner in Beirut, or something isn't quite right," noted the author of the Drinking From Home blog.

My wild (but not outrageous) guess is that this cow is either related to the "green helmet" guy, or connected to him somehow...NO doubt...they must think we are so dumb that we wouldn't notice it!Oh, and that person (woman?)looks like Uncle Fester (the Adams Family) in drag. Look at the huge hands. I guess they get big hands from lugging those Katusha (sic) rockets up and down the steps of her (it's) basement.

Many people don't distinguish between advertising and news photos really. They are drawn to these iconic photos, but don't do any critical thinking about them. They only know it makes them feel a certain way.

Sad but true. Is the best we can hope for a Saturday Night Live skit or a few jokes from Leno? Faking the news should be one of the top stories, but it's not. The media is hoping to whistle past the graveyard on this because it goes on more often than they want to admit.
