Friends,
Let the resounding defeat of Senator Joe Lieberman send a cold shiver down the spine of every Democrat who supported the invasion of Iraq and who continues to support, in any way, this senseless, immoral, unwinnable war. Make no mistake about it: We, the majority of Americans, want this war ended -- and we will actively work to defeat each and every one of you who does not support an immediate end to this war.
Nearly every Democrat set to run for president in 2008 is responsible for this war. They voted for it or they supported it. That single, stupid decision has cost us 2,592 American lives and tens of thousands of Iraqi lives. Lieberman and Company made a colossal mistake -- and we are going to make sure they pay for that mistake. Payback time started last night.
I realize that there are those like Kerry and Edwards who have now changed their position and are strongly anti-war. Perhaps that switch will be enough for some to support them. For others, like me -- while I'm glad they've seen the light -- their massive error in judgment is, sadly, proof that they are not fit for the job. They sided with Bush, and for that, they may never enter the promised land.
To Hillary, our first best hope for a woman to become president, I cannot for the life of me figure out why you continue to support Bush and his war. I'm sure someone has advised you that a woman can't be elected unless she proves she can kick ass just as crazy as any man. I'm here to tell you that you will never make it through the Democratic primaries unless you start now by strongly opposing the war. It is your only hope. You and Joe have been Bush's biggest Democratic supporters of the war. Last night's voter revolt took place just a few miles from your home in Chappaqua. Did you hear the noise? Can you read the writing on the wall?
To every Democratic Senator and Congressman who continues to back Bush's War, allow me to inform you that your days in elective office are now numbered. Myself and tens of millions of citizens are going to work hard to actively remove you from any position of power.
If you don't believe us, give Joe a call.
Yours, Michael Moore
P.S. Republicans -- sorry to leave you out of this letter. It's just that our side has a little housecleaning to do. We'll take care of you this November
Run Hillary Run!
It's too funny when the men on your chessboard tell you where to go!
Michael who?
Democrats who have even an ounce of rationality or intelligence left would be wise to jump ship. Their party has been taken over those who are so far left, they aren't even on any reasonable person's page anymore.
I have no sympathy for the Democrats whatsoever. They have allowed this to happen by playing politics with the security of our country, our freedoms, and our future.
Michael Moore is a an uppity traitor....
You can't support the troops if you don't support their efforts. You can't have it both ways Mikey.
Go Ask Alice?
One thing, if it is that bad, we conservatives of whatever stripe had better win. God help us if these animals get power.
Lay ON Michael my fat frijole friend! BTW, I loved your cameo appearance in Team America World Police, in front of Mount Rushmore.
You are the best news that the Democrat party has had in a very long time.GRIN.
[Notice how Michael knows how to focus on the real issue that Dims have for elections, he says " remove you from any position of power" not remove you from elected office. Power is what liberal socialists want, and they don't care how they get it, or what the electorate thinks about how Dims use it after they attain it.]
Michael , my dear, dear man. You yourself should run for office.
Ya' think she'll know?
Hey doorknob, what about Cynthia McKinney?
bttt
Mikey Moore in 2000: GORE/LIEBERMAN is just like BUSH/CHENEY, both major parties are run by corporations, tehre's no difference, vote Nader.
Mikey Moore in 2004: Bush stole the election, GORE/LIEBERMAN was the choice of the people, GORE/LIEBERMAN is the real President/Vice-President, I regret voting for Ralphy.
Mikey Moore in 2006: GORE/LIEBERMAN is not choice of the people, Lieberman is Bush lite, Lieberman sucks and must go, vote Lamont.
Hollywood? Who'd want to anyway!
When logic and proportion
Have fallen softly dead.
fitting for Mr. Nobody eh?
If someone blew one short puff on the Democrat party right now, it would fall off the left end of the spectrum.
I guess we can give Moore his due here (as if he drove the Zil to this location). This is essentially the first thing he's had to actually gloat about in politics in a long time.
We'll see how November goes. If his party gets cute and let's folks know what they really think, how incredibly far out there on the left end of the known universe on every subject they are, folks will run from them like they had the plague.
Plague? No it's worse...
It's not that the Repubs are doing all that much right, it's that the alternative is so much worse.
Primaries, especially Dem primaries, are decided by the most dedicated members. Let them nominate their barking moonbats.
Once they open their mouths in the General your predictions will come true. Nobody is going to trust these nutballs with the security of the country.
L
...and the word went out...let the madness begin.
Bring on the popcorn.
There's a whole lot of wishful thinking going on over at socialist.nightcrawlers.com. (not a real site, just an ideological death.watch) Knashing of teeth is what I expect around 12:00 midnight on election night in November.
"There must be voter fraud. Even the media said we were going to win. All those (phoney) polls showed we would. The Republicans stole another election..."
Better clear out a bunch of mental ward beds in the first week of November. They're going to need them.
Primaries are battles - not wars. Liberals dems can win the battles -- they'll lose the wars. Lieberman lost a primary - he'll win the election...
Uh, I don't have the vote tally handy, but that's most of them, isn't it?
Feed your head. :)
I asked her what she meant by that. She replied that she was against the war.
So I said: "Oh I understand. You support the troops but you want them to lose the war. Is that about it?"
The look on her face was priceless.
But it illustrated nicely the fact that most people who spout that drivel haven't really thought about what it is that they're saying. It's logically impossible to support the troops but not what they're doing.
The ones who have thought about it, like the despicable Mr. Moore, don't have the guts to come out and say that they want us to lose, but it is what they want.
L
Are you a Fascist too? You must be! You are still living and working in George Bush's Fascist State!
Prove to allah your freedumb figturds that you aren't aligned with the ebil satan! Go to Iran and train to fight the evil W! After all why hang around with losers!
The longer you remain in the USA, the more you will be labeled a traitor to the just cause of fighting against the US govt.
Whose side are you on mikey moron?

Man, Joe got burned by his own party. I'm kind of stunned myself. From Vice Presidential contender to "homeless" in just under 6 years? Cold and scary, man...like Hillary-Care for those expecting to get well.
Exactly. They muddy up the whole issue with screeds like this one from Mikey. They say they want us to lose, but yey they don't. Further down, he wonders aloud why Hillary isn't vocally saying she's against the war. He knows as well as she does that that opinion isn't the overall opinion of the American population. Which takes the loony left back to square one on this issue. They've in effect, since this war started, set themselves up in a difficult position to defend. Loathing the military for decades doesn't help matters much either.
nice singin' with ya! :)(even tho' it's a druggie song)
Memo to Michael --- this was a primary wherein your kooks were motivated to vote.
I want his see his letter in Novemeber after the general election.
What they mean is they want to SAVE the troops by bringing them home. They do not support the troops.
Oh cripes, I typo'd in my other post == NOVEMBER
The pleasure has been all mine. Bumpin' one last time for your tagline. Off to work.
To Hillary, our first best hope for a woman to become president, I cannot for the life of me figure out why you continue to support Bush and his war. Kerry/Edwards do a 180 (again); but they're persona non grata. Hillary, on the other hand, is given latitude. What a transparent agenda. Thankfully, Moore has a track record of backing losers.
For others it's a knowingly told baldfaced lie.
As far as Hillary goes, I've been saying for months she's really not a Presidential threat. The Lieberman situation proves it. She's toast. In fact I've got a buck that says she won't even run.
Her New Hampshire negatives are so high it's astonishing. Something like 46% of NH Dems can't stand the mention of her. I haven't seen anything from Iowa but I can't imagine it's any better there. If she can't make a decent showing in those two states she's through.
The Dems will be forced to nominate someone completely anti-war. Their base demands it. Look for Al Gore redux or more hopefully Kerry redux.
My money is on Gore, but either one is possible.
I don't care what they 'polls' say. The Republicans aren't going to lose any Senate seats this November and I don't really think the House is in any jeopardy either.
The Republicans may stink right now, but the alternative is putting a bunch of insane teenagers in charge. I just don't see that happening.
L
i cant find that cartoon of michael moore in bed with the donkey and the clock next to the bed reads 9:11

"Holy barking moonbats, Batman! Joe Lieberman was defeated by his own party!"
"I know, boy-wonder, and it's a shame. Politics kept Joe from trying to sell his body on the streets..."
LOL -- oh please keep trying to find it.
But I will anyway.
Lieberman says he's going to run as an Independent and I believe him. I also think if he does run, he'll win. Republicans will cross over in droves to make it happen and I'll tell you why.
If he does he'll vote with the Dems but it will also increase by one the number of seats the Dems will have to win to gain back control of the Senate. In other words, the Dems just got their very own Jumpin' Jim Jeffords.
I love it. It's so good Karl Rove must have planned this all along.
L
Of course, Lieberman can still win as an independent. He's not "defeated" yet.
My thoughts exactly. In the larger scheme of things, the kook-fringe left really have nothing to be jubilant over. They basically showed the rest of the country just who it is they really are. The masks came off last night.
Absolutely. Lieberman hasn't even begun to expose just how out of touch Lamont truly is with the people of Connecticut he seeks to represent. That I predict will come in the next phase from now to November. Primaries are mere skirmishes. The larger war happens in November.
They sure did. So let the Kos and DU loonies crow. Once reality smacks 'em in the ass they'll be singing a different tune.
Karl Rove isn't stupid. Whoever the Pub nominee is in CT is about to learn what the underside of a bus looks like. Rove is going to put everything he can into seeing that Lieberman wins. And there won't be a damn thing the DUmmy wing of the Dem party can do but howl about it.
The further left the moonbats at DU and Daily Kos drag the Dems the better it is for our guys. Once America gets a load of the Lamont wing of the party it'll be "Thanks, but no thanks" from Mr. and Mrs. Middle America.
They may not like the war, but now that we're in it they know we've got to win it. And the other side hasn't a clue how to do that.
There are going to be some very long faces this November I think. Personally I can't wait.
L
Man you are only too right. It isnt that Republicans are that much better. The Democrat alternative is just too horrible. Republicans are useless as tits on a boar hog. but wont deliberately destroy America to gain power.
Can you help a Brit out here? Was Lieberman defeated by a vote of the people of his state, or was it an internal vote within his party? (and thus less likely to be representative of popular opinion)
(sarcasm, in case you can't tell)
Not even a moderate RINO?
Both actually. The State Democrat party had a primary in which registered Dems pick their candidate to run in the fall General election. So the Dem voters in the State of Connecticut decided to toss the man who was their Vice Presidential candidate out of the Party this time around.
I love it.
As another poster put it, it's only going to take one good hard breath of air to push the Dem party into complete nuttery this fall.
L
Primaries are usually votes within the registered voters of that party in that state (i.e., a closed primary.) Recently there has been some experimentation w/ open primaries (where you needn't declare your allegiance and thus can vote for any candidate) but they are (thankfully) falling out of favour...SSZ
thanks
