Hmmm... I never connected those verses to anything modern, but after reading about Bishop Jakes' corporate "Christian" parties, I realize something...
The churches which are the most heretical (Mormon), greedy (AME Zion), paranoid/isolationist (7th Day Adventist) are the ones which most like to identify themselves with being the Jews of Revelations. I had a girlfriend who went to an insanely anti-Catholic, black church (let's just say she stuck out) which was pathetically exploitative, where they actually worshipped the gods of Shadrack, Mischack, and Abednego. (The pastor even thought it was funny to call himself "Ol' bad nigguh".)
The damned fools didn't realize that Shadrack, Mischack and Abednego were BABYLONIAN DEMON-GODS!!! At the time, I hadn't known it either, but I had a urgent spiritual sense to rebuke Satan rather than join in.

Interesting, but the so-called 'Jews' mentioned in the Revelation of Jesus Christ are, in fact, those with Jewish heritage who have become anti-God. Recall the scripture refers to "synagogues", not churches. Left-wing, Marxist Jews fit the anti-God mold.

As far as Democrats are concerned, the terms "conservative" and "moderate" are only useful in a relative sense, comparing the person to the outer space looneys in charge of the party.
