CNN's Anderson Cooper refutes AP SVP on staging

Anderson Cooper of CNN, via The Corner:

While on the Hezbollah side, it’s really interesting — I was in Beirut, and they took me on this sort of guided tour of the Hezbollah- controlled territories in southern Lebanon that were heavily bombed. They are much cruder, obviously. They don’t have the experience in this kind of thing. But they clearly want the story of civilian casualties out. That is their — what they’re heavily pushing, to the point where on this tour I was on, they were just making stuff up. They had six ambulances lined up in a row and said, OK, you know, they brought reporters there, they said you can talk to the ambulance drives. And then one by one, they told the ambulances to turn on their sirens and to zoom off, and people taking that picture would be reporting, I guess, the idea that these ambulances were zooming off to treat civilian casualties, when in fact, these ambulances were literally going back and forth down the street just for people to take pictures of them.

ooops, I meant to say "I saw that segment" (not "I saw the statement") on post 20.

I really think Anderson Cooper is a nice guy. Is he a liberal dupe? Yes, sometimes ...

Check out this interesting fact from his bio on CNN.com:

"He also studied Vietnamese at the University of Hanoi."

You have a point. I think it's EU Referendum who quotes reporters being threatened to be killed if any image of rocket launchers or combattants were released.

Anderson Cooper?!

Yep, Anderson Cooper has done a fantastic job in Israel the past month. By far superior to any others. He does not display an outward bias, and is changing the overall tone on CNN. Somehow when I see Christine Amanpour now, she seems out of place with the network, rather than defining it.

After that report I'm sure the anti-Semites at CNN and the DNC will be kicking in his door, but they better be careful. Like you said, he's too big now and the best part is that doesn't need their stinkin' money. Anderson's the epitome of the starry eyed reporter who wants to get the truth out, but hasn't figured out that the people he works and hob-nobs with sold out a long time ago.

Now that he's outed the Islamo fascists, his life really may be in danger.

EU referendum got it from some German reporter.
It's amazing, of course. But imagine how much more there is.
And how many people are in on the cover-up.
I really think people are going to try to make a deal by coming clean.
The site (LGF?), no it's EUReferendum, that calls the head of AP out and says 'YOU'RE A LIAR'

I liked watching his reports when I watched him from Israel. He always stated how Israel was attacked first by hezbollah, etc.

I'm thinking his honesty would not have been so forthcoming had not all the damning info came out about suspect photos.

I dont think that's true. He is wealthy enough that he doesn't need to kowtow to the network's bias. He is a straight shooter, who has spent a lot of time with Israelis and understands the lies the Arabs and world media spew out about those good people.

Perhaps Anderson Cooper's 'partner' is a reasonable man and has been talking sense into him...either that or Cooper is a closet moderate...might as well get rid of all the skeletons in his designer closet...

Yes, I've seen that one too. I was referring to the video of Cooper admitting there was staging going on. I couldn't believe it!

Actually, I've. observed Anderson Cooper to be more objective than Sheep Smith.

Oh sorry, I didn't know he said this on the air!
I was just shocked to see it in print.
Was it on his show?

Anderson Cooper?!

He & several of the other CNN reporters were saying this sort of thing several days ago.

In general I think of Anderson Cooper as Geraldo Lite, but you've got to give him credit for this one.

CNN was also reporting that Amnesty International was calling Hezbollah terrorists for targeting civilian areas in Israel.

The pressies will point blank admit it if they are asked. But for every time they admit it, they run 400 stories with the assumption that Israel is a bunch of ogres hell-bent on killing Lebanese children.

I suspect Mr. Cooper is reacting to the brouhaha over the Reuters photo flap.

Actually, no, I heard him report it originally and it was before the Reuters flap. IIRC, it was last week some time that he did that report.
