The truth sets us free. You have made probably the best vanity post I have seen in many years here.
And, I will not be surprised to see it picked up across the www.
Very good on ya!

Since that post was so worthy and pinged me instead of the OP, I wanted to quote it and ping her too...
>> I didn't have to get beyond this to tell you that if anyone gives you flack, you send them to ME and I'll deal with them.
Your courage will not go unnoticed. And to the rest: "he who is without sin may cast the first stone."
Now, I'll go back and read the rest.<<

"Christ paid for it all...EVERY BIT OF SIN. Mine, yours, all of it. Accept the gift that He has freely given...accept Christ and all will be forgiven."
Do you have any evidence to support this claim?
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

You can tell by my tagline what my views are about abortion, but I would never condemn a young girl who is under pressure from her boyfriend or parents for having a procedure that was and still is absolutely legal.
What your story illustrates in a very poignant way is one of the major problems with the pro-abortion crowd - the failure to address or prepare the woman for the guilt and regret that often comes later. They do not want the girl to have any time for reflection. They do not want her to see any pictures of fetal development. They are afraid that images like a 20-week old fetus with his thumb in his mouth would cause too many women to change their mind and refuse to abort what the pro-choice crowd persists in calling an "inviable mass of tissue". When that young woman later has her own child or sees pictures of a fetus at the same gestational age as her aborted child, she is overcome with guilt and regret for the life that was destroyed because the time was not convenient for it to be born.
I have no proof or statistics to support this, but I am convinced that most women who have had abortions at some time will experience these feelings of guilt. If more woman had the courage which you have shown to be honest about their abortions, perhaps more young girls would "choose life" for their unborn children.
Thank you for sharing your story. I know that God has already forgiven you for what you now consider a mistake, but I pray that you have been able to forgive yourself. May God bless and keep you and your family.

You're very courageous to post this.
We've all been young and stupid. Hope you're doing OK.

I'm glad that you had the courage to tell your tale. The truth, quietly stated, has more power than lies told loudly.

Abortion to save the mother's life is not what we're talking about. That sort of abortion was legal before Roe v. Wade.

Do you have any "evidence" to reject it???
To: Fishtalk
Thank you for sharing further evidence that (as so many of us have noticed) most women do not have a "choice."
Abortion is made to seem as though it's no big deal, we're told there's no baby, that the only way we can have our man, our education , our job, "it all," is to kill our own children.
Eventually, the lies become clear to us, whether or not we had the abortion as we were urged/pushed/coerced/backed-into-a-corner to do.
I'd like to add my prayers to the others posted here.
If you feel like it, there's an organization that might help you help others. It's called Operation Outcry, and run by women working with the (Texas) Justice Foundation.

The Christians you reject on this thread are showing compassion, understanding, and love for fishtalk. But all you choose to concentrate on is your disdain for the name of Christ.
To: Fishtalk
No judgment here. It takes enormous courage to write an article like this. As a father of 4, my heart aches.

If she had not had an abortion, she most likely would have died, and I wouldn't be here today.
And that relates to this story...how, exactly? Are you saying your glad your brother was killed? He wasn't a "potential son". He WAS as son.

TO THIS DAY, people here will throw it in my face (BABY KILLER) when it suits them. So I understand your need and your honesty...but be prepared for the worst.
Perhaps it's because you are still adamantly and vigorously pro-abortion...

I think if a person is sincere enough to share her story, she is big enough to accept other people's well intentioned, heartfelt wishes for a means to some peace of mind. For me, God offers this, and so I shared that with Fishtalk. We may make a gentle suggestion. Someone else might think a special book or poem is appropriate. Folks are sincere, I think. V's wife.

If I were pro-life now, would that make what I did ok to you?
No. Murder is never "ok." However, if you accepted your culpability and admitted that killing your child was a hideous and awful thing to do (you know, repentence?), no one could have any claim against you.
As it is, you not only are unrepentant, you are an advocate of abortion, trying to convince others that child-killing is perfectly acceptable. For that, your original wicked act is compounded and made even more grotesque.
We all commit sins. We all do evil. Not all of us are proud of it and try to convince others that it's ok to do likewise.

Your post has me in tears as I try to type this. My little one just turned 18. I'm so sorry.
