(SAN DIEGO, CA, 8/9/06) On Tuesday, August 8, the San Diego chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-San Diego) conducted a Religious and Cultural Sensitivity Training Seminar about Islam and Muslims for more than 50 federal law enforcement personnel at the FBI San Diego Field Office. The two-hour presentation was followed by questions from the participants. FBI San Diego Field Office was given a copy of the Quran, Islam's revealed text, and copies of the CAIR publication A Law Enforcement Official's Guide to the Muslim Community.

I feel sorry for the agents that had to sit through this. What's with passing out Korans? Did the FBI give them Bibles? Didn't think so. And doesn't acceptance of this "gift" by a federal agency create an unconstitutional endorsement of religion, especially if the seminar is mandatory? Where's the ACLU? Why won't they pick up the phone when I call?/s

Here's some "sensitivity" for 'em:

why in the Sam Hill do we need a law enforcement sensitivity to Muslims seminar???????
I expect Muslims to be subject to the same laws and the same law enforcement as the rest of us. If some Muslim nut runs around in public declaring Jihad and shooting people, are we supposed to be sensitive to his religion? or will he be shot by a SWAT team like anyone else shooting people?
Just what we need, politically correct police and FBI.
To: neodad
What bull shiite. The only cultural sensitivity that those people deserve is that they behave themselves or they get blasted clear back to the sandbox.
Americans having to crawl to those sand roaches is total blasphemy.

Was somebody in San Diego plotting to kill Muslim? I think not, so what is the problem. Maybe they need to take to heart what my mother used to tell me "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words shall never hurt me."
The idea that we must not hurt the sensitive feeling of those associated with a religion that is plotting to kill us, is just ludicrous.
My suggestion to CAIR is that they start apologizing for the member of their religion that are trying to kill us, because it really hurts my feeling that they are not sensitive to me.

FBI Director Robert Mueller, a Bush appointee, is very politically correct and is especially sensitive to Muslim "Americans." He's yet another Ivy Leaguer.
At the time of the Mueller appointment, Newsmax.com wrote:
"But a former senior Justice Department official said that Mueller was sharply opposed inside the department. Several years after he left the assistant attorney general's post, a Justice Department Inspector General's report criticized the management of Criminal Division operations and people he had put in place."
Another Bush-appointee, Johnny Sutton, is the U.S. Attorney who spearheaded prosecution against two border patrol agents, who could receive 20 years in prison for shooting an admitted Mexican drug smuggler in the butt. Sutton went so far as to offer the drug smuggler immunity and brought him to El Paso to testify against the agents. Now, the drug smuggler plans to sue the Border Patrol for $5 million for "violating his civil rights." This is insane.
Lou Dobbs has been all over this story.
With appointees like Mueller and Sutton, I sometimes wonder in George and Barbara didn't waste their money sending Junior to Yale.

What about making it known that Frist was his Senate majority leader pick & the Harriet Meires fiasco & Teddy Kennedy getting his educational bill. Borders wide open. Still GW tells us that Islam is a religion of peace. The whole "Two-Party Cartel" is a wack job so keep voting them back in & get these same results.

The FBI was thrown under the bus by the Clintons. OKC bombing and TWA 800 are just two examples of how the reputation of the FBI was so damaged that a lone agent in the Minneapolis office couldn't even climb over the Gorelick Wall to open Z Moussoui's lap top two weeks before 9/11.
I have looked at pictures of the wreckage of the McMurrah site and the TWA 800 twisted hulk, and I just think, "Clinton Clinton Clinton Clinton Clinton". Their eight yrs. of cowardice and appeasement in the White House have given us the world we live in today.

That doesn't explain Mueller. Why appoint someone who worship political correctness and had a dubious track record as Director of the FBI.
Believe me, I'm no fan of Clinton, but Bush deserves criticism for appointing people like Norman Mineta (former Secretary of Transportation who fined airlines for racial profiling months after 9/11), Mueller or Sutton.
Ever notice that conservatives and "compassionate conservatives" often appoint "closet liberals?" Name one "closet conservative" a liberal President ever appointed. Okay Wizzer White over 40 years ago. Name another.
