Sbarbaro told Novi Sad daily Građanski List that the Pope wants to come to Serbia in order to unite the churches and religious communities better.
“When the Holy Father hears that he will be able to make the visit in that spirit, not only will he come, but we will rush to come as soon as possible.” Sbarbaro said.
Sbarbaro added that Pope Benedict XVI was supposed to visit Serbia while he was still a cardinal for discussions with the Serbian Orthodox Church, but that he did not get to visit because he was elected Pope before the meeting was realized.
Can this be a beggining of new era between Serbia and Vatican?
They must make sure that the Pope gets a tour of the hundreds of destroyed Christian Churches, monasteries, and cemeteries in Kosovo. I have little doubt that his condemnation of these repeated desecrations would be eloquent.

The visit is not even mentioned in the (Croatian script) Serbian language version of the same Agency. Neither is the visit mentioned by the Vechernye novosti (Evening News) agency, or the daily Politika.
Most surprizingly, neither does the official site of the Serbian Orthodox Church make any mention of this visit (although the issue is dated August 10th, so it may be behind the news curve).
"The Holy Father always has an open mind, open arms, and an open heart towards our country, and is ready to visit Serbia," said Sbarbaro in his interview in today's issue of the "Citizens' Paper."
This is a radically different story than the one reported earlier from a generally untrustworthy B92 agency that has a reputation for bombastic and provocative news stories that turn out to be misleading.
My suggestion: do not use B92 as a source of news, period. If you have to use it, include a disqualifier.

B92 is bought, lock, stock and barrel. It is not just owned by a foreign owner, its activity betrays a rather obvious provocative and disruptive agenda. It is a propaganda machine.
Typically, anything that smack of Serbian patriotism is equated to "extremism." The anti-Serbian (paid for) NGOs that operate in Serbia are always represented in positive light, the Serbian Orthodox Church in negative.
Its most recent flop was an exaggerated hysterical campaign to ban the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) because one of its members accused the current vice-premier of Serbia of belonging to a family, precisely her father an brother, of Croatian (Ustasha) extremists.
This was immediately labeled as "hate speech" and G17-Plus (another foreign interest group in Serbia, with only 3% of the popular vote) organized a campaign for banning SRS altogether because of a statement of one of its members! It failed when the Prosecutor General said there was no legal basis to ban the entire party.
This is the whole purpose of B92. It moves from one distortion to another. If you read its letters to the editor you'd wonder how did SRS ever get any seats in the Parliament, along with DSS and other parties, because judging from the letters everybody in Serbia is opposed to both! If you dare mention Soros, the letter will not be printed -- guaranteed!
One can get a clear picture of how B92 distorts the news from this example on the Papal wish to visit Serbia. According to B92 the Pope is coming to "unite the churches." This is clearly a fabrication when it is compared to the actual interview reported by Tanyug!
Such fabrication is carefully launched (and the sole commentary reflects that it worked!) to provoke negative responses to any Papal visit because I am absolutely convinced that Soros hates Christ and will do anything to cause hate and discontent among Christians. If he doesn't outright own B92 (I believe the owner is a German company), he probably owns the owner!

Right on target, Eleni! Good follow up. Natasha Kandich, mentioned in your reference, who is a star performer on B92, is famous for her "freezer-truck" hoax.
Kandich has been involved in numerous other scandalous provocations in Serbia and always receives generous support and publicity by B92. Neither one has any credibility when it comes to truth.

Once the mass graves were discovered in Serbia, and the corpses identified as K-Albanians killed by Serb forces in Kosovo, the whole house of cards that was the "Freezer truck hoax" hoax collapsed.

The Danube truck (Kladovo) was taken, along with the retrieved contents, by General Vlastimir Djordjevic - we think those bodies were placed in the Batajnica grounds and the truck destroyed at Petrovo Selo, but the results of Vlastimir's investigation haven't been forthcoming perhaps because he's currently on trail with 5 of his cohorts in the Hague. It is interesting to note that Slobo himself acknowledged the existence of the Danube truck, though his explanation was that the bodies were immigrants who were being smuggled and the truck (belonging to a company from Prizren) fell into the river.
The Lake Perucac truck yielded its grisly contents to a clean-up crew who buried the corpses in a mass grave at Derventa - that mass grave has since been exhumed and 48 bodies recovered, with identification documents tying them to the Djakovica region in Kosovo.
Again, whether the Albanians were transported into Serbia in freezer trucks or on magic carpets is immaterial to anything other than the logistics of the Serbian crime scene clean-up operation. That the operation itself happened is beyond question, rendering the objections you raise moot, as I stated previously.
I love my Orthodoxy, the Byzantium and what Orthodoxy brings and is all about.
