Two Fox News journalists kidnapped in Gaza: witness (Update: see Post #193)

GAZA (Reuters) - Palestinian gunmen kidnapped two foreign journalists working for the Fox News television channel in Gaza on Monday, a witness said.
The witness, a Palestinian who worked with the two journalists, said one of them, a producer, was an American, and the other, whose nationality he did not know, was a cameraman.
The Fox News bureau in Jerusalem said it was checking the report.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the abduction.
The witness said two vehicles blocked the journalist's transmission truck in the center of Gaza City and a masked man put a gun to the bodyguard's head, forcing him to the ground.
The kidnappers then sped away with the two journalists.
Similar incidents in the past in Gaza have ended with the release, usually within hours, of kidnapped foreign journalists or aid workers.
Many of the abductions were carried out by Palestinians pressing a grievance against the Palestinian government or its security forces

This is how they intimidate journalists and why they all self censor - out of fear...

Here we go again.... this should have been in the cease fire...
If any kidnapping or terror attack is done by Hizbollah or Hamas... full hostilities will resume!

Probably DNC/Moveon operatives in Gaza, tired of the "fair and balanced" coverage not portraying Israel's response as "disproportionate."

Any attack by any islamic fascist anywhere in the world or dyspepsia to anyone while on vacation in Mexico should cancel the ceasefire.

I've been wondering when something like this would happen to a Fox person. I'm not surprised at all.

But generally, cooler (shrewder) heads prevail, because the Islamic Fascist leadership know that the western media (even Fox) are their best allies. If they thought the press was hurting their cause, we'd be seeing exponentially more Daniel Pearl (press kidnapping & beheading) tragedies.

I hope it isn't Amy Kellogg or Jennifer Griffin. They seem like nice girls.

Doesn't sound like any journalist was kidnapped; think they mean a producer and cameraman.

I hope it isn't Amy Kellogg or Jennifer Griffin. They seem like nice girls.I think Amy was still in the UK covering the latest airline threat so she may be safe. Jennifer has been an absolute trooper, giving just the news and no opinions. She also get kudos for putting up with drama queen Shep during the bombing.

If I remember correctly, that's Dana Lewis' neck of the woods. However, judging from the content of this article, it doesn't appear that a reporter-type person was kidnapped.

"one of them, a producer, was an American, and the other, whose nationality he did not know, was a cameraman"Huh? Seems like a couple of relatively "low value" targets from a Jihhadist propaganda perspective.
To: Red Badger
I doubt if is was Shep. He would go willingly.

Jennifer has been very good. When she first started reporting from the Palistinian areas years ago she seemed rather biased but she has done an excellent job of just the facts and not getting her emotions into it.

So an American camerman working for FNC was kidnapped and we don't know who it is yet? I'd hope Fox would have an update soon.
