Thank you :-) Although it's now been changed because my original post was in error (the previous title was given to the same article as posted in the Seattle Times) I liked it better too, and if I had known that the Houston Chronicle also had to be excerpted here at FR I would have stayed with the Seattle Times version just so that I could have kept the title :-)
CK is spot on in his analysis...This naivete in the service of endless accommodationism recalls also the flaccid foreign policy of the post-Vietnam Democratic left.
He is a Blessing to our Country and a tribute to the tenets of intellectual integrity.

This from a leftist. I think even some of the lefties are starting to get it. They're starting to understand this is not just some unhappy radicals. This is islam coming for us.
I have a liberal friend who is very anti-war and still rails on and on about Iraq, but now he is saying we need to go in and solve this once and for all with carpet-bombing.

It's an interesting paradox. Liberals are all about feelings, and PC and tolerance. But, once they feel threatened, once a lib decides they are cornered, there is no more vicious person in the world. Not to say brave, or honorable, I mean vicious. Stalin, Hitler, Mao... leftists.
Conservatives will do what needs to be done, if the liberals get out of the way. Liberals will do it with extreme vengence in mind.
If the hard left ever becomes pro war, (not likely), the muslims will be toast.
Well one way to get to non believers is to ask them if they could go to a country in the prime of their life and study and learn how to fly an airplane for a full year all the time knowing you were going to kill yourself at the end of the year
and NOT waver in you task
Then tell them that is what the enemy is like and ignore that fact at your peril
"Then tell them that is what the enemy is like and ignore that fact at your peril"
That's good. I had a conversation with my son over the weekend, he thinks I take islam's threat too seriously and I'm a little looney. He happened to be watching a History Channel item about the KKK. We both agreed it was good the FBI infiltrated and generally disbanded the KKK.
I then drew the parallel... the KKK focused on black Americans, (I know not exclusively, but that seemed to be their major cause). Anyway, islam focuses on Jews. The rhetoric is similar. My son disagreed until I pointed out some things, including a local imam who was deported for preaching killing Jews and calling them sons of monkeys and pigs. So, I asked him, why should islam be treated any different than the KKK?
I think I opened his eyes a bit.
Tragically, it will probably take a nuke into NYC, Chicago, LA, Houston to completely turn them around.
