Eggzactly. The fact that the only suits/protests against the voting machines are brought by Dems should tell you all you need to know.

Like anything else, eventually the sheeple will get used to voting this way and wonder what all the fuss is about from the lefties who can't vote multiple times anymore.

Paper ballots can be abused just as easily as electronic. MORE SO.

Paper ballots can be prefilled out.

Think about this folks, democrats are OLD TECH. They are supporting this because they already know how to abuse paper based systems.

Every paper ballot system can be beaten every single time.

by an outsider.

For example, the union boss has ONE copy of the ballot and every person is sent in with the pre-filled ballot and must come out with the blank ballot to be filled in for the next union minion.

Yes it is illegal, despite it being common practice in the 1700's. Sure, even George Washington did it, but it is now illegal under 42USC1971 and 42USC1973i as well as other state laws.

Every paper ballot system can be beaten every single time.

Any system can be if the intention and the ability is there. Paper systems just offer more of an audit trail.

Roughly that. Or, the ballot box is taken to the counting station, but it is "exchanged" for a different ballot box with different ballots on the way.

Some years later the real ballot box is found abandoned in the swamp.

Paper systems offer no "auditable" paper trail at all.

The only auditible paper trail occurs where we vote in public, and hands are counted. We can independently verify the totals written on the vote tally sheet by the counter.

It's also useful to come heavily armed to the election place.

The Democrats have been doing this for decades. A law is useless if it's not enforced. It's probably one of those laws that makes it illegal to do such and such, but when it comes to court cannot be proven, so it's technically unenforceable...........

"especially if done in the voter's own handwriting and with their own signature"

Democrats would NEVER agree to signatures on ballots. How many "x" ballots can they submit?

They have offered the most reasonable system we have to date. It is not practical for everyone to show up and count hands.

Hopefully they will want to get rid of electronic voting machines badly enough and will make some concessions on that point. They can teach dead people to sign more than an X.

Amen!! What paper trail did the mechanical machines have? It seems like we went decades with those machines and didn't have a problem. McKinney didn't complain when she won her seat last time because she won. The problem comes when the Libs lose.

How does a dead person push the button, pull the lever or fill out the paper ballot. When the Libs get that one entirely figured out we all lose.

What if the law was changed to require a revote as opposed to a recount? Seems it would make all parties much less apt to try and make close elections a judicial matter.

Challenging the will of the people is very undemocratic. Color me surprised it's the Dems that do it 9 times out of 10.

The old voting booths my county still uses (the ones with levers to vote and the big arm to record votes) record on a roll of paper every vote cast, as well as incrementing counters for quick reading. So there is in fact a paper trail on those old voting booths.

I believe that it was the Democrats who insisted on getting those machines. Now that they have found that it is harder to steal elections with them they are having their front organizations attack them.

The Democrat Party is more of a threat to this Nation that any terrorist organization will ever be.

Look, if you want to vote and the system is to count hands, then it's practical to show up.

As a 16 year old I voted many times for people who never showed up.

That very same system dutifully recorded every vote that was needed.
