Kidman condemns Hamas, Hezbollah
Herald Sun ^ | 17 August 2006

NICOLE Kidman has made a public stand against terrorism.

The actress, joined by 84 other high-profile Hollywood stars, directors, studio bosses and media moguls, has taken out a powerfully-worded full page advertisement in today's Los Angeles Times newspaper.

It specifically targets "terrorist organisations" such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine.

"We the undersigned are pained and devastated by the civilian casualties in Israel and Lebanon caused by terrorist actions initiated by terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah and Hamas," the ad reads.

"If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die.

"We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs."

A who's who of Hollywood heavyweights joined Kidman on the ad.

The actors listed included: Michael Douglas, Dennis Hopper, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Danny De Vito, Don Johnson, James Woods, Kelly Preston, Patricia Heaton and William Hurt.

Directors Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Michael Mann, Dick Donner and Sam Raimi also signed their names.

Other Hollywood powerplayers supporting the ad included Sumner Redstone, the chairman and majority owner of Paramount Pictures, and billionaire mogul, Haim Saban.

Looks like the Hollywood stars can't win. If they are against the war, they are commie leftist wackos and if they support the war and our troops, the Joos made them do it.

I would like to know what instigated this and what's in it for these hollywood types. I don't trust them when they start lining up in support of truth, justice, and the American way as defined by regular Americans.

Note the Aussie paper makes them sound like they are freedom fighters in uniform on the front lines:

"It [the ad they took out] specifically targets "terrorist organisations" such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine."

"The Peacemaker" was one of the best action movies I've ever seen.

Almost all non-stop action. George Clooney was believable in his role and Nicole Kidman is always good eye candy.

They deserve unequivacal praise for recognizing them as terrorist groups and speaking out against terrorist attacks.

Could it be believed that maybe Hollywood is finally getting the word. The very freedom that these types believed in is finally at a point of maybe not so safe after all. Appeasing terrorist can no longer be tolerated if we as a free society is to succeed. It is not a question which party will save the free nations, but instead the support of the MSM as well as the Democrats right now is desperately needed. I fear that even the current Administration is tiring of the fight when they have to fight at least a third of the population and try to fight a war at the same time. Stupidity is rampant in this Country.

So is Babs. I didn't see her name. For that matter, so is Mike Wallace.....though he may have forgetten during his most recent interview...

Douglas has always been a lefty in my book though, so it was a genuine surprise.

No it's not. Look at where their money comes from. They have to keep their Jewish financiers happy. That's all this is.

Heh... These people can't win for losing.

They can be loyal to the Jews all they want. It beats the alternative, if you ask me.

There is something wrong with this. I really think this is somehow going to work into a press release from The DNC or Howard Dean. Don't know how yet, but give me some time.

Once Hopper got off the dope, he realized how ridiculous liberalism was.

Michael Douglas? Seriously? Most of the others aren't too much of a surprise...

Maybe shtooping Maureen Down for the Liberal Cause shocked him back to reality.

How did you pick that screen name?

Goes way back to the 90's and my first internet experience. I'm a life long University of Miami fan, and my first "discussion board" was a Hurricanes fan site back in 1997. It just kind of stuck.
