Spot on! I sincerely hope they go broke. Our local paper - The San Antonio Express-News - is in a similar predicament. Among my friends it is regarded as an archaic dinosaur with nothing but inbred "journalist," i.e, loony leftist liberals. One is not enough, they have libs everywhere. They throw in a token conservative now and then but it is quite clear that they are tolerated rather than warmly embraced. The late Malcolm Muggeridge had it right: "There is something, to me, very sinister about this emergence of a weird kind of conformity, or orthodoxy, particularly among people who operate the media, so that you can tell in advance exactly what they will say and think about anything." Just so! The Express-News, like the New York Times could save themselves a great deal of money by firing about half of their opinion writers. They are basically an undifferentiated mass of liberals, all alike, with the same inane opinions, in short, lemmings of the worst sort. A pox on them all.
