Oh my stars, what a list of interest. I cannot imagine what is so interesting about a goofy guy. Just turn him loose in a prison work-out gym for an hour or so. Now that might be interesting to the presstitutes of the screaming media. This is such a waste of methane.

I've heard that theory, but there is one thing that just doesn't wash.

I've been around families when a child got hurt for one reason or another and you know what happens? They run like heck to call 911 no matter what happened because they need help keeping their child alive or want to revive them. It doesn't matter how badly they are hurt, or who did what...the ONLY thought in their mind is to get help for the injured child. They don't just give up. Sometimes, even after that child is on life support and declared brain dead. This is something you agonize over, not coldly try to cover up to protect a child who had an accident.

Parents just don't say to themselves "Oh well, lost cause, might as well concoct a crazy story to cover up the fact my child was accidentally hit with a baseball bat." That is the piece of this story that just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. There would have been LESS suspicion on them if they had just said she was accidentally hit with a bat. Accidents like that happen very often.

Your scenario fits all the publicly known facts, but it discounts one VERY important thing, human and parental nature. That said, it does fit in with a million hollywood-created mysteries, but those are always neatly solved in an hour. Life is much, much sloppier.

There is as much chance Karr killed JoBonet as I did. The MSM feeding frenzy over this whole matter is sickening. I told my wife I am not going to look at TV on this subject ever.

Unless JB's parents are extreme sociopaths and accomplished liars, I don't see the family trying to hide an accidental death, even if their son did it.

Nope, this is a set of experienced and loving parents, not some addlepated crackheads. They would have known how to check for a pulse and called an ambulance. They are not panicky people.

It is very possible that this guy is getting the Pasty Ramsey treatment, so to speak.

I think the media does a horrible job of exploiting this kind of tragedy as reality tv entertainment. Thank you OJ trial.

That said, I really hope they do eventually solve this case. It needs to be over.

There has to be some very good reasons they are bringing him in. We probably don't know them yet.

I think that's a fair point and probably the weakest part of the theory. It does seem incredible that a parent would think that coldly about a situation so soon after it happened. You may be right, but one thing is clear to me. Due to the putrefaction and rigor, her death almost certainly happened before 11 p.m., probably closer to 10 p.m. There is no way an intruder got in there and wrote that note, packed her suitcase and sneaked her into the basement and then killed her when John and Patsy by their own admission were up until at least 10 p.m.

Anyway, you may be right.

Gosh, I don't even know where to start. I hope your thought process regarding politics is not like this. Umm, welcome to FR?

Which is actually what caused them so much trauma with the media, imo.

They are used to "being up front" and public people, so the fact they didn't fall into hysterics convicted them with a lot of people. Personally, I saw a couple of professionals who were in shock and enormous amounts of pain, but had reverted to their trained public face as a coping mechanism.

The media wants you to fall apart and make a scene. It makes for compelling Springer-style television. It is exactly the dynamic that Hezbollah and Hamas have learned to manipulate so well.

Maybe the intruder made prior visit(s) to scout out the house and gather needed items.

I think he either did it or knows a great deal about the killing from slumming in the same international pedo circles exchanging information, fantasies and pictures.

I think there is a very good chance that he will be killed in jail before being able to reveal very much about those secret and closed circles of mutual perverse interest.

That's true. If someone was really obsessed with this kid it is certainly possible they had the house 'staked out' for a while and may have entered it many times before. I would think they would have to have worn gloves, gotten paper from the pad, 'borrowed' the pen, and she could have died closer to midnight if we push the forensic data. But it is possible.

They're the same thought processes that made me a Reagan supply-side supporter. So, if that's bad then that's your opinion.

Karr moves around a lot - does he make use of rental storage facilities? - boxes of memoribilia - maybe there are seemingly innocuous items still in storage or even in his direct possession.

Law Enforcement is going to have to do some world traveling. There could be other murders involved.

I agree, the media punishes those who compartmentalize their trauma and continue to function.

Strangely, countless movies about this type of human (once referred to as heroic) are common and hugely popular and the most popular tv show 24 is about someone exactly like that.

I get really tired of the criticisms of the parents that their behavior wasn't "normal" when what they really mean is that they don't think they'd behave that way, so the Ramseys shouldn't have either. As if the indiviual criticizing is the arbiter of normality. Arrgh!

I never heard of any evidence that stated JonBenet suffered a severe blow to the head which killed her. Such a blow would have resulted in significant damage to the skull, I believe. The medical examiner would have recorded this fact. And yet, not a word has been whispered.

Also, why plug Burke into the picture when there isn't a single thread that traces anything back to him? Where is the probable cause that must be shown? Where is there evidence about a bat, a bat in his hands, a bat in her room, a swinging of the bat which killed her?
