Texas Sheriffs Say Terrorists Enter Through Mexico

The chief law enforcement officers of several Texas counties along the southern U.S. border warn that Arabic-speaking individuals are learning Spanish and integrating into Mexican culture before paying smugglers to sneak them into the United States. The Texas Sheriffs' Border Coalition believes those individuals are likely terrorists and that drug cartels and some members of the Mexican military are helping them get across the border.

Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez of Zapata County, Texas told Cybercast News Service that Iranian currency, military badges in Arabic, jackets and other clothing are among the items that have been discovered along the banks of the Rio Grande River. The sheriff also said there are a substantial number of individuals crossing the southern border into the U.S. who are not Mexican. He described the individuals in question as well-funded and able to pay so-called "coyotes" - human smugglers - large sums of money for help gaining illegal entry into the U.S.

'nobody' in MSM cares; Pres. apparently thinks illegals not a security issue.
even w/o terrorist acts, these illegals are ruining the socioeconomic basis of US.

You'd have to have blinders on to think it's a nonissue! They're all too concerned with who's coming and going from office, that's what.

LOL! Don't worry about it. Happens to me all the time.

And I simply can't believe how the border issue is being botched so royally by the administration.

This is going to come back on us and get many of us killed, I belive. And there is no excuse for it.

Just goes to show you how much the "will of the people" means to politicians - especially when an issue interferes with their pandering and vote buying schemes.

I (and others) have been repeatedly chastised on FR in the past for suggesting that terrorists might pay coyotes to smuggle them into the US through the southern border.

Pay no attention to the people behind the curtain! They're busy planning their own murders.

Lies! All lies! Jorge says they're just good moral family folks looking to do a day's hard work lazy American's won't. Kerry and Teddy say there's no such thing as terrorists, so that's good enough for me.

Yep; just preparing to kill the Americans that Americans won't do. </not_exactly_sarcasm>

No way. Family values! There were some underlings of some big shots that all went to El Paso for a few days just last week that all said no way a single terrorist is going to stroll over our unguarded chock-full-o-holes 2,000 mile southern border. They were dang sure and they said so! Lots of reporters asked them and they sad so. I was relieved. I am now safe.

5 years after 9/11 and we still have wide open borders BUMP! How the President can turn away from this glaring national security hole is beyond me.

"if these terrorists ever blew up anything in the US, then the US would have to *really* crack down on the border"

Another terrorist attack, even by someone who entered across our borders, will NOT result in a secured border. Fools are anyone not recognizing by now that Bush has an open borders agenda, national security be dammed.

If Bush had been willing to secure the border, he'd have done it on 9/12.

I am at a loss, myself. I saw him talking this morning and he was pretty blunt about the Democrat party wanting to "leave Iraq before the job is done. They're wrong!"
