Irony that the girl here is at UDub -- a Husky! (A sheep in wolves' clothing...?)

No disrespect to our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, BUT sheepdogs eat sheep for diner. Maybe not wholesale like wolves, but they still eat meat. I never liked this analogy. Sorry to be negative. Most sheep dogs do NOT eat sheep for dinner. LOL

"she does not think those who serve in the U.S. Armed services are good role models."
This kind of thinking ranks right up there with people who think children having sex with adults is a good thing-it's so corrupt and deranged I wouldn't dignify it with a response, but I admire the optimism of those who think people like this can be salvaged.

They do where I grew up, and the Basques raise sheep there. It's just that the sheep was slaughtered by the shepherd and the meat is called mutton.

It's been out there awhile, I 'm glad you posted it, it needs to become popular in the culture.
For me it helped clarify something I've always been a little confused by.
Since my childhood I've always enjoyed weapons, and violence, and danger, just like the bad guys (even more really) but I was never a bad guy.
Luckily for sheepdogs there is a never ending supply of gangsters, tough guys and bullies.
I have found that in most situations between a sheep and a wolf, a good sheepdog can do something as simple as calmly but purposefully walking into the wolf's space in a deliberate way and simply say hi! and it stops the trouble.

I did not bookmark or keyword this post. I copied it and saved it so I can print it. So my son can read it. This is a keeper.

... sheepdogs eat sheep for diner...I am astonished to hear this. My next-door neighbor has two hundred sheep. I've worked with him and his dogs. He's never mentioned such a possibility to me.
Please document your statement.

Your have just shown your total ignorance of any aspect of ranching life. In 63 ranching years, I have never seen or heard of any instance of a trained sheepdog
attacking or hurting either a sheep or lamb.

Until the wolf shows up. Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog. Sadly, America needs to have a wolf show up once again.

I never said any such thing about sheepdogs attacking sheep. I said sheepdogs eat sheep and they do. And to hell with your 63 years. I have personally butchered sheep and fed the mutton to the dogs - in the Sunflower Valley of Kings County near Avenal. That's how sheepdogs eat.
