Gentle reader, wise up. The entire world is laughing at you.

The laughter you hear is directed at you, Paul. I think it's the neo-cons.

Remember that while Paul Craig Roberts thinks it's OK to mock Americans and America to foreigners during time of war, it's Roberts and Rockwell and Raimondo and Sobran and Reese and Buchanan who are the "real" patriots.

Those of us who actually love our country and our countrymen are "gullible" "chickenhawk" "Bushbots" who aren't really Americans.

NewsMax sucks. Big time.

He used to be somebody, before the Mad-cow disease destroyed his brain.

Americans never check any facts. Who do you know, for example, who has even read the report of the 9-11 commission, much less checked the alleged facts reported in that document. I can answer for you. You don't know anyone who has read the report or checked the facts.

The author apparently read the commission's report, but he didn't take his meds prior to drawing conclusions. Or maybe he drew his conclusions 20 years before he read the report, which could color his take on the issue.

Either way, the author's premise is wrong. On Free Republic alone, there are probably multiple dozens who have read the report in its entirety, and hundreds who have done so in part.

Look up "gullible" in the dictionary, and you'll find a picture of Paul Craig Roberts.

Paul is always a source of laughter no matter what subject his drug addled brain chooses to write about. This one is especially funny because he's lecturing us about facts - just one of many things he's uniquely unqualified to rant about.

Something tells me Paul hasn't seen the translations by jveritas. Or if he has, he ignores them!

Dude! It said "humor," so I'm reading along, looking for the reveal, the punchline . . . nothing. I remember his Op-Eds in the WSJ years ago, loved them.

Slowly, with deepening horror, I realized—he's serious. Oh, my.

This isn't liberalspeak, folks. It's off-the-end-of-the-table-American-Mercury-nutcase Right. There aren't wings in politics. It's a circle, and the Left and the Right meet in conspiracy cuckoo-land.

I cannot believe that this guy is considered a “conservative icon” by some people in the conservative movement. The man is a lunatic and a shame to conservatism.

The Chinese leaders and intellectuals with whom I was meeting were incredulous.

Because the Chinese certainly know how to spread the truth amongst their own people. /sarc

Of all the conspiracy theories I've heard, the only one that makes me think is the issue of the 3rd tower (#7) falling on 9/11.

Anyone have any idea or links to any analysis as to why that tower fell? I believe the official explanation was an accumulation of burning debris that set the tower on fire, etc, etc.

LOL

Put Paul Craig Roberts & Garrison Keilor in the same room and the smug levels would reach such dangerous proportions, the universe would implode.

:-)

Scientists and engineers, such as Clemson University Professor of Engineering Dr. Judy Woods and BYU Professor of Physics Dr. Steven Jones, have raised compelling questions about the official account of the collapse of the three WTC buildings. The basic problem for the government's account is that the buildings are known to have fallen at free-fall speed, a fact that is inconsistent with the government's "pancaking" theory in which debris from above collapsed the floors below. If the buildings actually "pancaked," then each floor below would have offered resistance to the floors above, and the elapsed time would have been much longer.

These experts have also calculated that the buildings did not have sufficient gravitational energy to accommodate the government's theory of the collapse. It is certainly a known and non-controversial fact among physicists and engineers that the only way buildings can collapse at free fall speed into their own footprints is by engineered demolition. Explosives are used to remove the support of floors below before the debris from above arrives. Otherwise, resistance is encountered and the time required for fall increases.

the commission suppressed the fact that Muslim ire toward the United States is due to U.S. support for Israel's persecution and dispossession of the Palestinians, not to our "freedom and democracy," as Bush propagandistically claims.

It's always about 'those damned Jews' with these types.
