You're OK, as infidels go. I think I will kill you last. One of the many things I love about libertarians is their keen sense of wit. I'm just so glad you didn't post a picture of Hitler and call me a Nazi. Now THAT really would have hurt!

What Hotels should do is turn off porn access to rooms which have minor children registered as staying, and only turn it on if spedifically authorized by an adult. Otherwise Hotels could be selling porn to minor children which is probably against the law in every state. Here's a novel idea: Parents should exercise greater control over their minor children, so that they are not left alone unsupervised in a hotel room with the TV as their babysitter.

"tremendous damage to families and in particular men."
Which men in particular did you have in mind?

Don't you have to be 18 or older to rent a hotel room? If so, there's your restriction right there. Just got back from a trip that included a stay at a hotel near a university where groups of youngish teens coming in for a summer program were staying in almost every room. Sure, there were chaperones, but not one per guest room.

Xena's Guy and I spent our wedding night in a room with a hot tub.
The Magnolia Inn is about five miles from the Festival, and the only "nice" hotel (which in Magnolia means "place to stay that isn't a motel") in the vicinity.
The hot tub didn't bubble, so essentially we had a huge bathtub in the middle of the bedroom floor.

"unfortunately young people can rent a room and watch it, and that is the biggest problem that I can see."
I believe you have to be over 18 to rent a hotel room.

There is no virtue in involuntary morality. Excellent comment, and bears repeating!

Underage kids can't get a hotel room, you need a credit card or an adult has to reserve the room. I did not say they did. But Hotels do ask about the number of guest and whether there are children. A room with a child in it should not be able to access porn. Unless you want to repeal the laws which prohibit distributing porn to children. In that case you are probably a libertarian who wants to repeal all drug laws and such, which we will disagree on.

I'll get back to you on that. I have to shave my hands again.... I'm sorry to be a bother, but could you use a larger font? Thanks. ;-)

Parents should exercise greater control over their minor children, so that they are not left alone unsupervised in a hotel room with the TV as their babysitter. No doubt the parents should excercize greater judgement and do share the responsibility. But the Hotels share some of the responsibility as the distributor of porn to make sure they are not selling it to minors. Hotels can easily take this step and a couple posters indicate that some already do. If I am going to sell alcohol, I have to do everything I can to ensure I am not supplying it to minors. The same should apply to Hotels distributing porn.

Yes, they do turn out in droves on these threads.
They all say the same thing.

Never mind the damage it does to communities or families.
Thank God the founding Fathers reserved to the people the rights to set their own community standards.
That way you can't rent out Child porn.

So hard-core porn is available for free (when you order broadband) in at least one hotel chain.Would you mind identifying that chain so we can make reservations make sure it's on the boycott list?

If you would stop looking at dirty pictures and work on your reading skills you would understand that the constitution protects the right to keep and bear ARMS. And that runs very clearly up to todays weapons.
