The weather will be cooling soon so the fences will likely be finished before Christmas, right?LOL

But, but, nowhere in this article does it address Mehico's provisional endorsement or aproval for such an undertaking.
W's good bud, Vincente, must be on vacation or asleep at the switch, because I predict an outpouring of protest from Senor Fox in the very near future, which will in affect, kill this project.
Sorry all, I guess I'm just a pessimist (based upon past experience) when it comes to border security.
If we were really serious, this is the kind of wall we would be building. Don't know if it's "50 feet" high, but seems to have worked in keeping the the terries out of Israel, who I assume, are better equipped with "ladders" and methods of infiltrating, then poor "undocumented immigrants" who only want to come here to work.

"
A spokeswoman for Citizens for Border Solutions, a local activist group that advocates legal entry for immigrant workers and opposes the construction of border walls, said she was saddened to hear of the government's plan. She was saddened? Poor baby.
"As long as there are jobs for them in the U.S. and none in Mexico, walls will not keep out the migrants," Cecile Lumer said.
What an attitude! We really do need to crack down on employers..pronto.
"Walls only make crossing more difficult, cause hardship and even death."
Yes, we want to make crossing "more difficult"...Death and hardship would not happen if they came in the right way..Legally.

We had a bull named Romeo and he couldn't be kept in any fence and our fences are good. Romeo finally had to be sold because of his habit of roaming.
We don't have illegals on our ranch because we aren't right on the border but we have hunted down there and have seen crowds of people coming in carrying their belongings on their heads. I don't know the answer because if the illegals can't go over a fence they are going to go under it or around it.
I think hiring them is going to have to carry a stiffer penalty before the parade of illegals slows down.

Bollard fence:
Incidently, that picture comes from this page, where someone with a sense of humor made the background music, "They're Coming to America."
