And made that push again in 1997...

John Kerry: (November 12, 1997 under a different administration of a different political party) - what has changed???

"...there's absolutely no statement that they have made or that they will make that will prevent the United States of America and this president or any president from acting in what they believe are the best interests of our country."

"I think the United States has always reserved the right and will reserve the right to act in its best interests. And clearly it is not just our best interests, it is in the best interests of the world to make it clear to Saddam Hussein that he's not going to get away with a breach of the '91 agreement that he's got to live up to, which is allowing inspections and dismantling his weapons and allowing us to know that he has dismantled his weapons. That's the price he pays for invading Kuwait and starting a war."

"I believe, and they stood with us today and I am saying to you that it is my judgment that by standing with us today and calling for the unrestricted, unconditional, unlimited, you know, access, they have now taken a stand that they are duty bound to enforce and if Saddam Hussein doesn't do that, the president, I think, has begun a process which you remember very well, John, was not done in one week, in one day, in one month. It took months to weave together the fabric to lead up to an understanding of what was at stake. I am convinced that many people have not yet even focused in full measure on what is at stake."

Gee .. I don't remember all this outrage from the Dems when Jump'n Jim Jeffords went independent

There wasn't any outrage from the GOP either when he jumped.

Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat, said on ABC's ``This Week" that Lieberman is ``dead wrong" on the issue of the Iraq war, and said he is making a ``huge mistake" by aligning himself with Republicans who support it."

So many quotes to chose from, but this is the one I decided on. Kerry should KNOW about being "dead wrong" because he usually is. I am delighted that so many RATS continue to say mean and hateful things about Senator Lieberman, because when he gets reelected, he will be more inclined to vote with the President on the war on terror. He'll have six years to get even with the RATS before he retires, should he decide to do so, and considering his age, he may do it.

Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat, said on ABC's ``This Week" that Lieberman is ``dead wrong" on the issue of the Iraq war, and said he is making a ``huge mistake" by aligning himself with Republicans who support it."

Lieberman's aligned himself with the Republicans because his views on Iraq haven't changed, and neither have the views of the GOP since 1991. Lieberman's views on Iraq are as consistent now as they were back in 1991.

Kerry's blaming his flip-flops on Iraq on Lieberman by saying Lieberman is "dead wrong" and "out of touch with the mainstream".

Kerry is one of these clowns that molds his opinion according to internal DNC polls.

Lieberman actually comes from a Democrat party that didn't criticize the President on issues of national security and survival of mankind.

Kerry is an empty suit. A partisan hack. Spewing partisan garbage for the DNC masses. Who was only for "boots on the ground" because the rapist-in-chief occupied the Oral Oriface.

As much as I disagree with many of Lieberman's liberal ideals, I would love to see him win this just to see the look on Reid's, Pelosi, Dean, and Kerry's face. One of the ideals that I do like about Lieberman is that he does not practice obstruction and confrontation politics. He is probably not surly and vicious enough for the Kos Krowd, and they threw him to the curb. I hope Joe makes them eat their words, especially Kerry

Of course not. If it were a parade and Kerry was on the left foot and all other's on the right foot he would be the only one in step. That's just the way it is with the elite.

Ya just gotta wonder what people so wealthy as to own their own island want with a Presidency? He doesn't even vacation on the same land mass as the people he wants to rule, oops, I mean lead. Yeh, he sure is a man of the people and evidently always has been. I begin to understand why he can't believe he isn't President.
