The Bush Doctrine Need Not Apply
Front Page Magazine ^ | 24 August 2006 | Julia Gorin

Although Kosovo set a terrifying precedent for Israel, at least two Jews are happy about it. In a recent Wall St. Journal-Europe piece titled “Balkan Choice,” Morton Abramowitz and Mark Schneider write that Serbian President Vojislav Kostunica’s opposition to Kosovo independence risks making his country an “international pariah.”

Have these two been asleep for 15 years? Serbia has been a pariah since it began fighting Islamo-nationalist terror without the West’s permission. Serbs were the first ones fingered in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the ones bombed by Bill Clinton in 1995 for a Sarajevo marketplace massacre — despite British intelligence warnings that a Bosnian-Muslim mortar was responsible. That other pariah state, Israel, is familiar with such frame-ups, and it’s no coincidence that Israel quietly aided Serbs militarily, aware of Islamic terrorist ties to the Bosnian army, including Palestinians operating in Bosnia.

When Israel confronts terrorism, it’s called self-defense. When Serbia does, it’s “poisonous nationalism” — as a Washington Post editorial called it the same week ("Serbia’s Intransigence"). Quite strategically, the word “Muslim” appears nowhere in either article, lest the world finally catch on to what we “achieved” in the Balkans. Instead, the authors promote the term “Albanian Kosovar,” a flashback to the journalistic ploy that ensured a multi-national war against European Christians on behalf of Muslims.

I am posting this while fully admitting that there is much that I do not know about the "truth" in the Balkan conflict(s). I was wondering if nyone could point me in the right direction to find some facts about what actually did go on in the arena. I've tried Wikipedia but don't trust it's content entirely or at all sometimes.

I can sum up the Kosovo "conflict" using Milosevic words, which may some day become prophetic. "Imagine millions of foreigners invaded Texas and announced they are succeeding the state from Union." Paraphrasing the rest: (We're under attack, and I'm defending my country from Albanians). Clinton's most devious adventure was the fantasy Kosovo war in an effort to stop investigations against himself. The Albanians were hardcore drugrunners, terrorists, and rapists partially funded by Bin Laden. Thus, to keep his ass out of jail, Clinton went to war WITH Bin Laden against Christians. The whole war was by air, during which they dropped errant bombs on hospitals, buses, etc. At least a thousand Serbian civilian casualties. He wiped out half the country's infrastucture and never rebuilt anything...just left the country to rot. Greece, our ally, called for Clinton to be arrested for war crimes.

He never got UN permission, I think he even blew off Congress in violation of the presidential act. He used the "mass graves" - ethnic cleansing reason for starting his war, claiming there were 200,000 dead in mass graves, which turned out to be 2000, 1700 of them were soldiers. The entire thing was a lie from day one. Meanwhile we've found 300,000 dead in mass graves, women, children, entire families executed in Iraq, and the dems scream impeach Bush. Liberalism is a mental disorder for which there's no treatment.

Wise decision. There are biases in some of their "editors" or "administrators".

"Be Not Afraid, for You Have Sons in America". Stacey Sullivan.

"Kosovo: War and Revenge". Tim Judah.

"Kosovo: How Myths and Truths Started a War" Julie Mertus.

If you're looking for a good primer on the entire Yugoslav dissolution, "Yugoslavia: Death of a Nation" by Silber and Little is an excellent first read.

Like most things, your results will be based upon how much effort you devote to the task.

My favorite book o the entire Balkan break-up is "Fool's Crusade: Yugoslavia, NATO & Western Delusions" by Diana Johnstone: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/158367084X/sr=8-1/qid=1156450451/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-8177794-7226461?ie=UTF8

On video re Kosovo specifically: "The Brooklyn Connection". It is excellent and it is based on the Stacey Sullivan book "Be Not Afraid for You have Sons in America". PBS has run it, and it is availble at both Netflix and Blockbuster Online.

If you are looking online: FR has a lot of articles here under "Serb". The American Council for Kosovo http://www.savekosovo.org also has quite a lot. Julia Gorin is on the advisory panel for the American Council for Kosovo.
