Freeper Lingo Reference Thread

Every once in a while I see Freeper lingo I don't understand and have to research to figure out the meaning/background.

Today, I thought it would be helpful for newbies (and 'seasoned' Freepers) to have a 'reference' for the lingo specifically related to FR (ie not stuff like LOL etc you can get everywhere else).

My intention is for this thread (and my profile page) to be that reference, in as much as it can be kept reasonably up to date.

I've just started to compile the terms today, so I'm sure there are massive gaps and omissions in the definitions/histories. Please fill them in!

Here's what I have right now:

IBTZ - In Before The Zot - term posted before the troll/disrupter gets booted
Zot - verb, to get kicked off FR in an undignified manner
Mod comment: See Coop's post #52 for correct definition of "Zot"
beeber (beeber like object) - see the thread that started it all: Would like freeper help (apologies to al baby)
stuned - misspelling of stunned - see beeber
hugh - misspelling of huge posted on a thread by an excited freeper.
series - misspelling of serious posted on a thread by an excited freeper.
BIOYAC - Texan freepism - Blow It Out Your A**, Cowboy
shower pictures - from an excited freeper saying they just got out of the shower on a breaking news thread about a possible terror event (it was determined the event was not terror related).
DUmmie (anything DU---) - Democratic Underground troll/disruptor
cowbell pictures - ??
ziggy - ??
spork weasel - ??

mhking is still around; he just can't FReep as much as he used to because of where he currently works.

ManBearPig - although not unique to FR, it sure comes up a lot on the Cryptozoology/HelenThomas/MysteryCreature ping list.

:o)

I think the shower thing was from a woman who was worried about her traveling husband and an airline threat.

She was terrified for him, then asked us to keep her updated on news reports because she had to go shower.

And then it just kind of devolved into "shower pics."

As in, "That guys a major league Clymer". "Yeah, big time".

Funniest thing in the world was when the white House Press Corps gave Cheney a baseball jersey with "Big time" on the back.

I was going to post Belly Girl but read through the list first and, yep, it got here!

I coined the term Belly Girl back in 2003. In the run up to the invasion of Iraq there were a lot of postings from Protest Warriors in the "Live threads" just before and during the invasion.

Someone put up the picture and everyone was commenting on her midriff. If my memory serves me, someone had asked the usual poster on the Live thread to post "that cute girl with the sign" and I replied, "oh, you mean Belly Girl" and it stuck.

Here are a few of the things I remember we posted and discussed everyday during the Live War Threads while watching the various Baghdad CAMS:

(1) The carpenter: there was this guy, obviously hired by the various news agencies, whose job it was to maintain the cameras and change them to IRL at night, etc. One day he had the bright idea they needed to be higher so started building stands.

For several nights you could hear him sawing and hammering. I don't remember but I think we called him Omar or Ahmed or Mohammod.

(2) The Sweeper: late at night this one Iraqi would come out and sweep his balcony just slightly off camera. You could hear the "wooosh, wooosh" of the broom and see the dust and dirt going out into the air.

(3) Baghdad Bob: Yep, he was a favorite during the war. I'm pretty sure the term Baghdad Bob was coined by a Freeper.

"Also remember Deep in the heart of the Hurtgen Forest guy. Smokes cigars, as I remember. Who remembers how he tripped himself up and who outed him? And who bought the cigars?"

I bought the cigars, sent them to Clinton's A Liar who sent them with some videotapes to the guy. Soon after, he was outed through some aggressive, thorough work by sneakypete and his fellow Special Forces crew. They intimidated the heck out of the guy, got him to do some public service on his own (I think he was told it was make it right or we go to the police).

I got a box of better cigars than the ones I sent AND $30 cash. I chuckle about it to this day.......I learned from it: I haven't been sucked into an Internet scheme since.
