I don't much like Laffey. He's too concerned about his political career to stand up for conservative ideals - and he's way too buddy-buddy with the Guatemalan illegals in Cranston, from what I hear. However, I'm definately voting for him over Chaffee - Chaffee's a scumbag and he needs to get kicked out of office. I'm seriously considering voting for Whitehouse (the Dem who's running for that seat) in the event that Chaffee wins the primary.

I too will be voting for Laffey and I've had the same thoughts you have about Whitehouse in the general election. More likely I'll opt for a write in if Laffey loses the primary. I was put off by the consular cards as well but Laffey is as close to a true Conservative as we're likely to see around here. Televised debate number 2 is set for tonight at 7pm on NBC10 it will be interesting to see how this issue plays out tonight!
