When is it OK for boys to be girls, and girls to be boys? [Schools adjust to boys being girls/etc]

When is it OK for boys to be girls, and girls to be boys?

Many kids want to look and act like the other sex. For some, it's a phase; for others, it's not. Parents and schools are adjusting.

Ilene Lelchuk, Chronicle Staff Writer

Sunday, August 27, 2006

Park Day School is throwing out gender boundaries.

Teachers at the private Oakland elementary school have stopped asking the children to line up according to sex when walking to and from class. They now let boys play girls and girls play boys in skits. And there's a unisex bathroom.

Admissions director Flo Hodes is even a little apologetic that she still balances classes by gender.

Park Day's gender-neutral metamorphosis happened over the past few years, as applications trickled in for kindergartners who didn't fit on either side of the gender line. One girl enrolled as a boy, and there were other children who didn't dress or act in gender-typical ways. Last year the school hired a consultant to help the staff accommodate these new students.

"We had to ask ourselves, what is gender for young children?" Hodes said. "It's coming up more and more."

Park Day's staff members are among a growing number of educators and parents who are acknowledging gender variance in very young children. Aurora School, another private elementary school in Oakland, also is seeing children who are "gender fluid" and hired a clinical psychologist to conduct staff training.

Is "gender fluid" what they find in the unisex bathroom?

And there's a unisex bathroom.

My kid sister spent a year at the University of Massachusettts (before transferring), where they had unisex bathrrooms.

She said she spent the first six months bound up, until she figured out wearing her roommate's shoes would solve the problem ;-)

"First, I'm still amazed that Leftists can, on the one hand, say that these confused little kids are born the way they are and can't and shouldn't be changed but, on the other hand, want to say that little boys and little girls who are normal can be "gender" engineered to be sex-neutral and that stereotypical sexual behavior is not inborn."

From the list of liberal beliefs:
Being a liberal means believing that homosexuality is genetic but gender roles are learned.

Are you f%$@#&g kidding me? Only to a twisted militant gay fascist. What a pitifully transparent agenda.

i'm wondering how many kids, who do identify with their biological gender,
will be confused by this...

and unisex bathrooms! good grief! that's just asking for trouble.

Most young guys' dream; most young gals' nightmare...especially if that includes the showers.

I thought you were kidding at first, but here one of them is at amazon:

From School Library Journal

Kindergarten-Grade 3-Elmer is not like the other male ducklings. "They boxed while Elmer baked. When they built forts, Elmer made sand castles. They had a football game, and Elmer put on a puppet show." When they call him a sissy, his mother insists that he is simply special, and "being special sometimes scares those who are not." Eventually, he is threatened by the local bully, Drake, and when he runs instead of fighting, his embarrassed father declares, "He's no son of mine!" Heartbroken, Elmer runs away and sets up house deep in the forest.

As the air turns cooler, he sneaks to the great pond to view his parents one last time before they fly south and sees his father shot by hunters. He takes him home and nurses him back to health, and when the flock returns in the spring, Elmer's father boasts about his son's bravery and loyalty. Fierstein's book, based on his award-winning animated HBO special, sends out a positive message about differences and acceptance. The cartoon images are bright and colorful. The characters are engaging, and their faces and body language are wonderfully expressive. Snappy dialogue and enhancing details abound, from Elmer's flowered backpack, to the framed picture of his parents he packs in his pillowcase before his departure. With its universal message, upbeat conclusion, and snappy illustrations, this book is sure to be a hit with children.

I have a cousin whose 6 year old son wants to wear dresses, play with girls not boys, play with female dolls and in general appears to act more like a girl than a boy. The family talks about it but the parents seem to ignore it. I am very skeptical that people are born gay. But this makes you think. Hopefully he will grow out of it.

I met a sickening excuse of a woman about 10 years ago. She was a teachers teacher. She told me things that were to strange to believe.
And hear it is in black and white.

She couldn't get out of there fast enough.

And she's not a prude by any stretch of the imagination.

She was also a champion softball player in high school.

Because she enjoyed the game so much, she briefly joined a city women's softball league after high school.

The first day she showed up for practice, all the other team members flocked around her and when one remarked, "Ooh, and who's Barbara Eden?," she realized she'd made a really big mistake ;-)

What the heck does this mean when talking about elementary school children? Is it as simple as girls wearing jeans and playing sports? Boys who want to play jump rope?

So they're going to pretend that something that exists doesn't exist? Isn't that pathological, a form of insanity?

The public school system is ROTTEN to the core. Darwin's THEORY of evolution and its "survival of only the fittest" has now silenced any Judeo/Christian voice in the education system. The leftist groups determined to bring forth the "Brave New World" (ACLU, Planned Parenthood & others) will not let up. Only the immoral, warped agenda is allowed to be taught in the halls of public education any more. People wise in their own eyes have seen to that. They will face the final judge of the Universe.

Any parent concerned with the well-being of their children will take them out of the godless public schools and either homeschool them with a Christian education (in my opinion and I do still have the freedom of speech to say it, at least for now). Either that or get them into a good, sound community Christian school where they will be taught the Bible and not the ungodly claptrap that passes for literature these days.

We can thank Darwin for Margaret Sanger, the darling of Planned Parenthood as well as Adolf Hitler who decided that the Jewish people were "inferior and needed exterminating" out of the gene pool. Oh, and yes, the Columbine public school murderers, two Darwin scholars who learned the evolution lesson well - and their idea of selective elimination led to the attempt to weed out hundreds (bombs didn't go off or they would have! - Sad Darwin Award recipents, but they did succeed in eliminating from the world 15 children who believed in God and thus, not fit to live in THEIR estimation).

I nominate DARWIN for the DARWIN AWARD OF THE MILLENIUM!

Just found out today that my brothers inlaws paid for some dance lessons for my niece, ballet and tap. Well my nephew wants to wear the ballet tutu and shoes. The mother-in-law went and bought my nephew his own tutu she thinks it's no big deal. They are 3 and a half. Needless to say I am ready to travel the 1000 miles and kidnap my nephew and let him live with his 3 boy cousins for a while. My boys have NEVER EVER wanted to wear a dress or be a girl/woman in make believe, although they always wanted to be the dog and growl at everyone. The wussification of America continues.

One thing this teacher said that stuck in my mind was at rest time. Girls always play with each others hair so when they sit on the mats for nap or rest teach would encourage the boys to play with each others hair.

She was bragging about how educated she was and how she taught teachers to teach crap like this.
