thank you and it does interest me...as a saver. Some ugly stuff is going on here. The Albanians don't realize that they would be better off to remain a part of Serbia. Reasons are obvious to those that know.

The thing that bothers me the most is that I don't believe that they made a mistake.....it appears that it was planned this way...which is worse.

>>>>>>The thing that bothers me the most is that I don't believe that they made a mistake.....it appears that it was planned this way...which is worse.<<<<<<

It is sort of tossing a coin and every time guessing wrong, fifteen times in a row. This can be no mistake.

Consider the amount of airtime given to all fabrications regarding Serbs in the last 15 years. Airtime cost serious money. Billions were spent and billions are not spent by this is no mistake. (according to information theory, information is the most unlikely data. "Serbs are genocidal maiancs" would not be newsworthy if true. The fact that it is still repeated so many times shows that it is still not believed)

What is the reason of that?

A historical parallel comes to my mind. During WWII the Brits have mastered deception plan and lured Germans into believing that the Allies will land on the Adriatic coast, not Normandy. As a result, Germans unecessarily kept divisions in the Balkans instead of Russian front or Normandy.

To make the plan more believable, Brits raked up the number of Tito's troops tenfold through their communication channels and secretly supported Communist leader. Tito in turn made the talks with Germans of jointly fighting the Angloamericans when they land (!)

As a side effect, Tito got a foothold and ruled Yugoslavia for almost 40 years. Some 200,000 Serbs paid this with their lives. But who cares, deception plan worked.

In hindsight, it is 20/20 clear what happened. Back then, it was murky and unfathomable.

I can see the similar deception plan here in the making, but can not distance myself far enough to see what it is all about. Only, the experience teaches me that it is likely that hundreds of thousands of Serbs will pay with their lives again.

It makes you wonder why the Demoncrats, opppps, Freudian slip, can blame Bush for an illegal, fabricated war; granted American lives were lost in the ME and not so much in the Balkans war.....in any event, the Repubicans haven't gotten together and legitmately brought up the fabrications and demonizations of the Serbs, against Clinton and the Democrats.....for preparation in setting the stage for the next election to show the stupidity of the Democrats, and if pushed; the impeachment of Pres. Clinton for the slaughter of not only K-Albanians but K-Serbs and Serbian Serbs due to the hapless bombing campaign. So, it makes you wonder why anyone of any significance is not challenging our operation in the balkans plus our continued presence and condonment of even more influence in that region. Coupled with the fact the violence is continuing.......even since the Serbian cafe attack the other day.

I remember sitting in an orientation class some years back when I first got to Kosovo. During the Swiss training about IED's recognition and bombs etc......they failed to mention what to do if a grenade was to fall in your midst. I let it go on and so I finally asked the question, "what to do if a grenade falls around you". Well, you could hear the giggles and funny looks I got...some smart a$# Former German Colonel, said the typical "bend over and kiss, etc..and he laughed. My response, are there grenades in this country? Have any been thrown in this country? Are OSCE members going to be visiting Serbian enclaves? Are Serbs targets? (I had to answer that one myself...as most didn't have the gonads to be non-politically correct), so does it not stand to reason that a grenade could fall in someone's midsts? well duh.... So, since the Swiss had not practices this apparently I proceded to explain, with their permission, on what immediate action you take for a near grenade and what to do for a far grenade.....etc...... An Irish Colonel came up to me and asked, "Tom, if you knew the answer, why did you ask the question"? Answer...it was not asked for me....it was asked for the ones who don't have a clue what to do...other than stand there in shock for the 3-5 seconds the fuse burns.... Get my point...point is the phenomena of denial and stupidity to the reality of what is going on. The same thing happened in Saudi...I won't go into that one...warned them about an attack on the Vinnell compound, where I lived, no one would even believe it...three years later, it happened exactly in the classic planning execute scenario. Stupidity and political correctness kills.........it pisses me off. Now, like you say, it's not by accident the Balkans; it's by a very clever design. THERE are even folks, right now, that believe that Kosovo was conducted to hide Clinton's indisgressions and will swear by it. lolol...:))) a war started because a President wanted to take America's eyes off one of his ugly affairs....with a daughter figure....:)) no pun intended......

"It is sort of tossing a coin and every time guessing wrong, fifteen times in a row. This can be no mistake."

That's one of the things that got me from the very beginning -- the fact that in every interview and every story from Croatia to Bosnia to Kosovo, the identical story was told by supposed "witnesses" using the exact same words.

Ask any police officer -- if you hear multiple witnesses describing events exactly the same way using the identical words, you are not getting the truth. You are getting a collaborative rehearsed answer that is most likely a lie.

PRESS RELEASE following Ahtisaari's statement directed against the Serbian people

From the Serbian Patriarch Pavle (unofficial translation)

The Scriptures teach us about the Holy Truth of Salvation, that the one and only just Judgment is that passed by the Lord, as every man personally will be given a chance to explain all his deeds and misdeeds. Therefore, there is no collective responsibility, and, especially, there is no collective guilt in any shape or form. If someone blames an entire people as guilty of being evil, then he disregards the Christian teaching about Man and the basic postulate of democratic functioning of the human society. It is not unknown that the Jewish people had paid a price for their alleged collective guilt, not so long ago, when more than 6 million innocent human lives perished. Add to this the terrifying number of the victims among the Russian, Polish and other Slavic nations (and among them Serbs), and the victims of other peoples in Europe and the world, of that dark period, and one can truly feel the mystic horror of ideological misconceptions and political violence.

The Serbian Orthodox Church would be deeply saddened and worried if anyone called any people guilty, and especially when the Serbian people have been branded as guilty. The Serbian people are the largest flock of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Even more bitterness is caused by the fact that this statement was given by Mr. Ahtisaari, the UN special envoy, who is supposed to facilitate the Serbian-Albanian talks, in an impartial and constructive manner, with a goal to reach a reasonable compromise about the future status of Kosovo & Metohia. This arrangement would morally, legally and in terms of a sustainable life, be acceptable to both sides.

But, obviously not caring about the neutral objectivity, and forgetting that there are, hopefully, no colonies and colonial governors in modern-day Europe, Mr. Ahtisaari said what he said, with an explanation that Serbia should be confiscated of its spiritual and historic core, Kosovo & Metohia. In all fairness, he has not been the first one to say this, but has added himself on the long list of the advocates of such an idea. Do we need to mention with how many innocent lives the Serbian people have paid in countless places of perish in the recent and more distant history of the Serbian people?

We believed that such words will never again be heard in Europe - neither in war nor in peace, coming from a UN official sent in a mission of peace and confidence building. Those who reach for those theories prove that force and law are irreconciable differences.

This is where the words of a Serbian saint from Cetinje ( Montenegro ) apply perfectly:

"A wolf claims his right on the sheep, just as a tyrant claims his right on a weak man, but stepping down on the throat of tyranny, that is the most sacred duty of Mankind".

Similarly, a Russian saying teaches us that God is not seen in Force, but in Justice and Truth.

Let us not forget: Christ defeated lies and death with the Cross. The victory of Good, of Light and of Love was sealed with the Ressurection - of Our Lord and of Ourselves.

The Archbishop of Pec, the Metropolit of Belgrade-Karlovci and

The Serbian Patriarch

Pavle (signed)

Chairman of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church

Thank you, Smartass!

This is a very difficult and confusing time for all Christians and people of good conscience, but it makes the most sense for us to pull together for for the good of all.
