We Ask Again: Where Is Karen Hughes?
Peace and Freedom ^ | August 30, 2006 | John E. Carey

“We are great with TV but we are getting crushed on the P.R. [Public Relations] front.” —President George W. Bush when asked by NBC News reporter Brian Williams on August 29, 2006 why there is so much anti-American sentiment and out-right hatred for America in many parts of the world.

In view of President Bush’s statement, we feel compelled to ask again a question we raised about 10 days ago: “Where is Karen Hughes?”

More precisely, “Where is the United States’ campaign of truth and honesty in the Middle East?”Not long ago, a thug named Hassan Nasrallah, the Hezbollah leader, emerged from the shadows to become, in just over a month, one of the more important political figures of Lebanon and one of the leaders of the Arab world’s radical wing.

It's not just Karen Hughes who is missing. It is almost any aggressive spokesman for this feckless Administration (possible exception: Tony Snow).

It doesn't matter where you look - Iraq, the War On Terror, Katrina, Social Security legislation, Plamegate, 9/11 Commission, etc. - this Administration is simply AWOL and therefore getting their brains bashed in by the loudmouthed opposition and their @ssh0le-buddy allies in the Media.

I detested the Clinton Administration. But one thing they excelled in was getting out and promoting their own message and shaping the news - rather than letting somebody else shape it. The truth simply never mattered to them. Somehow, the Bush Administration figures the truth will always prevail. Huge mistake. It needs spokesmen and advocates.

The Bush PR machine is beyond pathetic. It is criminal in it's negligence.

Not sure what IBTZ means....??

In Before The Zot. A zot is what happens when you are here to be a disruptor. Some lame asses are in such a rush to identify disruptors that they post "IBTZ" after looking at the title and the posters membership date…never bothering to read the post.

Obvious reasons.

1. Rushed in prior to the thread getting pulled

2. Took it for granted the IBTZ already posted were on the mark

My bad.

Excellent question.

She was hired to counter the Green Helmet Guy, and she is failing miserably.

She should be fired.
