President George W. Bush when asked by NBC News reporter Brian Williams on August 29, 2006 why there is so much anti-American sentiment and out-right hatred for America in many parts of the world. Because it is fostered and spewed on a daily basis by the democratic party---and it is highlighted and repeated over and over on a daily basis by the MSM!

the Hezbollah leader, emerged from the shadows to become, in just over a month, one of the more important political figures of Lebanon and one of the leaders of the Arab worlds radical wing.Nasrallah has started to get his own bad press. My best guess on Karen Hughes is that she determined in fairly short order a campaign to expose Muslims to who and what Americans are was a lost cause, at least in the way they initially dedided to go about it.

Good article. Not sure if the people wanting to zot you actually read it.

Karen, who I admire greatly, came back into the game too late. The media was too far ahead in the game for her to do more than score a few token points. That said, there may be things she has accomplished that don't make the mainstream.

Why cannot the president answer this idiotic question? Not everyone is going to love us; it has always been this way. There are many, many people/countries that are jealous of us. That is not going to change.
It would not hurt to point out that Williams is a bit of a moron as well, for notbeing able to carry this question to its logical conclusion.

Who knows..... maybe she is in stealth mode doing her thang.
Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen Hughes has been tasked by President Bush with leading efforts to promote America's values and confront ideological support for terrorism around the world. She oversees three bureaus at the Department of State: Educational and Cultural Affairs, Public Affairs, and International Information Programs, and participates in foreign policy development at the State Department.

LOL, the US cannot get away with propaganda, the leftwing media will not allow it.
When we tried to diss Mr. Z in Iraq with the outtakes of his terrorist video, showing how he got burned by the hot barrel of his gun, ect, the MSM immediately explained it away and defended him.
They also announced that it was US propaganda.
So tired old Blame Bush meme does not work.
To: John Carey
It would help us if the media in our own country actually didn't support the terrorists. But they sill stoop to any level just to go against Bush, even if that means being traitorous to their own country.

"Didnt the president hire his Texas friend Karen Hughes, with a salary clearly over $150,000 a year, to do for the U.S. just what Nasrallah is doing in his spare time? I mean, am I the only one outraged?"
I am outraged too but for a different reason than you. I am outraged that the president hired an amateur to do such an important job. The reason I know she is an amateur is that no professional would even think of doing the job for $150,000 a year. It's peanuts.
An average US company without international sales spends millions on public relations. International companies spend even more. So I gotta ask "What do you expect for $150.000"?

It's not just Karen Hughes who is missing. It is almost any aggressive spokesman for this feckless Administration (possible exception: Tony Snow).
It doesn't matter where you look - Iraq, the War On Terror, Katrina, Social Security legislation, Plamegate, 9/11 Commission, etc. - this Administration is simply AWOL and therefore getting their brains bashed in by the loudmouthed opposition and their @ssh0le-buddy allies in the Media.
I detested the Clinton Administration. But one thing they excelled in was getting out and promoting their own message and shaping the news - rather than letting somebody else shape it. The truth simply never mattered to them. Somehow, the Bush Administration figures the truth will always prevail. Huge mistake. It needs spokesmen and advocates.
The Bush PR machine is beyond pathetic. It is criminal in it's negligence.
