"Last Days on Earth" goes beyond science fiction to science fact, as it takes viewers on a roller-coaster ride through black holes, intelligent robots, asteroid strikes and super-plagues. Viewers will journey from the outer reaches of the universe to the inner world of DNA, with a round-the-globe tour in between. The goal of the broadcast is to enlighten viewers with knowledge that could help diminish the likelihood of some of these doomsday scenarios.

I watched the last 20 minutes of this last night. It was truly scary once I started to realize that this global warming scam is merely a cover for socialist control of government.

Listening to them, they were all saying that they were so much smarter than the rest of us, and thus should control how we live our lives.

I was screaming at the TV, and after I explained to my wife, she was seeing it also.

This is why my kids bought me a very cool, high power dart gun last year. Rather than merely scream at the idiots on the tube, I can shoot them! I need more nerf-darts - there are too many idiots and too few darts.

Something tells me your TV looks like a porcupine occasionally.....at least mine would. :-)

Bet if you read the rolling credits at the end, you'd find the U.N. stamped all over the thing.

My kids had one that looked like a Gatling gun.
It could shoot 10 darts in rapid succesion.
The darts are now spread all over the house. I think a couple are on top of the kitchen cabinets, a few under their beds, maybe one under the dryer. All are bent into a shape that will no longer function on the gun.
It was fun while it lasted.

You know, I happened to catch part of this entertainment, although when the news came on I switched, so I didn't see Gorebot.

It was remarkable to me to watch this thing. It was clearly obvious that this whole show was premised on the singular certainty of the participants and the producers that there is no God. It was both striking and yet comical to watch.

According to this farcical show, the God who hung every every star in place and knows each one by name apparently is either incapable of controlling an asteroid or simply does not exist and so we are on our own as the only supreme beings capable of our own salvation. The hubris of this was morbidly amusing. Here were other comical bits. The PhD guy who assured us that if we all knew the hour of earth's demise that we would all huddle together in love! Bwahahahahahah! The other was that in order to save all of humanity, man was going to figure out how to build a spacecraft to affect the orbit of an approaching meteor. Yet the most sadly amusing thing was just the general idea that these poor saps truly believe that all of humanity rests on the fate of cosmic happenstance and man's ability to thwart this cosmic happenstance event. Hilarious!

I'd love to see him have at it. But it'll probably only happen when he's with another network.

The climax of this program was the "worst" threat facing earth....Climate Change

The worst threat is that technology finally enables one or more governments to materially affect the weather, which will be spun as now giving humanity "control" of the weather.

From there, the claim will arise that it is the government's job -- possibly a world government -- to "manage" the weather on humanity's behalf.

The inevitable political, diplomatic and military fights over government weather management powers will lead to a curtailment of our basic civil and economic liberties unlike any ever experienced in our nation's history.

In the end, government's inept and corrult "control" of the weather will lead to the environmental catastrophes that Al Gore's minions are aways projecting.

That was my first thoughts with this tripe--I would love to see him take this on point by point. At least we would get some balance out of it.

Yes, a little knowledge is great against a Black Hole.

This show was nothing but the mega edition of "Be Afraid; Be Very Afraid" that's become network "news."

The show was mildly entertaining until it tried to portray global warming as the # 1 threat to the world. No balance at all in the presentation. Complete fiction and lies.

That's when I turned off the TV.

The part on Global Warming as terrible the bottom line was, "We scientists (and ALgore) took a vote and these were the results, anyone who voted against us is a fool". I guess that we don't need money for research, just take a vote.

My eyes were rolling so much watching this I made myself dizzy. So let me get this straight?

The number 1 threat was Climate Change? Ok, even if I accept that everything the "consensus of scientists" say is going to happen (Seas rising, drought,...) this surely doesn't wipe out the human race, not even close. Plus, it's something we could potentially control and reverse...if the "consensus of scientists" are correct.

But a huge asteroid frying the face of the Earth is only number 4? OK.

I got a laugh out of my friends by saying we needed a good dose of number 2 (Plague) in order to help us out with number 1 (Climate Change due to humans)

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part.

Yep, according to Algore and his "consensus of scientists" if you in any way question the validity of impending doom via climate change - you are the equivalent of Holocaust deniers or Tobacco executives.

I think that you might find an analogy with the 17th century Church inquisitors and their dealings with Copernicus and Galileo. I'm sure that a poll of scientists taken by grand inquisitor Alberto Gorio would have found a large majority saying that a flat earth and earth centric solar system to be settled science.

I went to get a physical this morning and my doctor gave me a lecture on global warming! Yup, turns out he had watched this program last night.

It's time to find a smarter doctor.

I forgot to add that when I dismissed his fears as completely ridiculous, he told me that he watches Fox news too, he just doesn't believe everything they say.
