Air America no longer a 'LIB-eral network (Booted from flagship NYC station today!)

The progressive network Air America tonight scoops up the slings and arrows it aims at President Bush and moves them to its new home a few blocks downtown.
Starting tomorrow, Air America will be heard on WWRL (1600 AM), ending a 29-month run at WLIB (1190 AM).
-snip-
The move to WWRL will reduce Air America's coverage in some parts of the metropolitan area, since WWRL's signal isn't quite as strong as WLIB's and there are areas where it is hard to pick up.
Questions continue to circulate about the financial health of the network, which has experienced cash crises and relatively high turnover of executives.

The new station won't carry the AA morning show either. The death spiral of Air America continues...

Pretty soon they're going to be broadcasting from one of those 1 watt FM microphones that RadioShack used to sell as kids' toys.

Since they'd never take it on the chin and realize no one was interested in their BS, I'll be the first to say it.

I never understood why they would need Liberal talk radio when liberals are all over the MSM! How can Air America compete with the NY Times, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, Washington Post, Reuters, Associated Press, NPR etc. etc.? There's only so much venom and disinformation a person can take!

I expect we'll see renewed efforts to push through that abomination called the "Fairness Doctrine". What the liberal idiots can't achieve in the forum of public opinion they will try to push through legislation and the courts.

That's why they were doomed to start with. Of course they are in denial that all the MSM outlets really are leftists, but that's the fact of the matter. There's not enough oxygen on the Left for even the MSM outlets to survive (we've been witnessing the slow-motion death of the MSM, in progress), so there was no way in hell that Air Stupid was going to make it.

The times I hear Air America in NYC is in taxi cabs driven by angry muslims. I guess they're going to be even angrier now that they've moved it to a weak station.

Can you imagine the reaction of the MSM if that had been Rush. They literally would have had a cow and the senate would have been screaming for hearings. But alas, not much was reported for some strange reason.

Well, let's see...they're moving to the right on the AM dial, (from 1190 AM to 1600 AM), but will probably continue moving right until they reach the passenger side mirror, I think......and you see them going away in the distance.
To: jimbo123
Hi jimbo123- This hyperlinked Taxi Passenger Bill of Rights illustrates how one is entitled to travel in silence by request. Ask the taxi driver to please switch off the radio while you're in the car rather than endure that liberal nonsense...unless you like it for comedic relief.

I like the comedy. Most of the drivers want a tip so they usually just listen, but don't try to lecture. It's important to know what the enemy is saying every now and then.
To tell you the truth, I just wish the Taxi Passenger Bill of Rights would mandate that muslim drivers must shower at least once a week and use deodorant at least one every three days.

The new station won't carry the AA morning show either. The death spiral of Air America continues... I know the radio biz is strange, not as competitive with consolidation, but they're preaching to the choir in NYC. If their new stations in Palm Springs or Phoenix tank, this will be progress.
They just dumped their firebrand Mike Malloy, I guess to appear more "reasonable". Randi Rhodes is no-doubt next. Too bad.. it was good having someone like Malloy ranting in the evening to show everyone who the Left is like these days.
