Howard Dean is Destroying the Democratic Party

Howard Dean is Destroying the Democratic Party

Which is in theory a good thing, but can make for a very unbalanced American political system over the next 20 years as non-GOPers grope for a new Party to challenge the GOP for power. The latest indicator of the Dean-led Democratic melt down comes from Robert Novak (4th item):

Lifetime Democratic contributors have made good on their threat to stop giving money to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) so long as Howard Dean is its chairman. Some of the party's longtime money men warned that would happen when Dean took over the DNC following the 2004 elections. Lower contributions, combined with Dean's heavy spending, have resulted in the most recent cash-on-hand report by the DNC of $11.3 million, compared with $43.6 million at the Republican National Committee.

Disaffected Democrats keep giving to congressional committees. Current cash figures are $33 million at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and $35.1 million at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

Being under the GOP by a factor of $30 million heading in to the last two months of the election is not a good thing - and when combined with the fact that Dean is orchestrated the Democrats' lurch to the left, I see the meltdown of the Democratic Party coming.

I know, I know - the punditry is all about how the Democrats are poised for a big win in November, perhaps even capturing both houses of Congress...I'm just not buying that story; too much evidence that the GOP is not at all in trouble, coupled with hard and fast indicators - like this report - that the Democrats are floundering.

Wrong. The Democrat party is destroying itself, and Dean is only one of many suicidal weapons pointed at their heads.

What an absurd assertion! A party featuring NANcy Pelicanosi and Ted the swimmer Kennedy as mainline leaders isn't destroyed by having one as insane as they running the party. Hell, Dean isn't even getting Republicans elected this time around so he's harmless to the current crop of leftist democrats ... which is the whole damn party.

Pelosi, Boxer, and Kennedy are furious that Dean is getting all the credit for destroying the Democrat party. They'll just have to try harder! ;)

The democrap party does seem to be close to death. However it would only take them regaining either the House or Senate in November (a very real possibility) for all this talk of their ultimate demise to sound ridiculous. The only way that the scumocratic party will have a real chance of completely disintegrating is if they do not gain seats in the upcoming elections. Then I'll believe the hype.

>>>What an absurd assertion! A party featuring NANcy Pelicanosi and Ted the swimmer Kennedy......<<<

Even with that absurd team of leaders, the only thing capable of destroying the Democrat Party is the American electorate.

Lets not count on Dean, Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy or any of a hundred others to do the job!!! The American public, as a group, not as smart as we like to think they are. Kerry only lost by 2% points - Gore by a fingernail!!

We have a lot of work to do to overcome a war that the American public doesn't understand and an economy that has been successfully badmouthed by the MSM!

Counting chickens can be fatal!

If the Rats are ahead in the key Senate and House races (which they seem to be), and are competitive with the GOP in funding of the individual campaigns and of the Senate and House campaign committees (as I believe they are), the problem with the DNC and its fundraising would seem to be a minor problem for them, not a major problem. Dean isn't helping, but he's not destroying the party either. If he were, we wouldn't be seeing polls like we're seeing in the PA, OH, MO and MT Senate races. We will need to win this election with a hard, ballz-out effort. The Rats may screw up now and then, but generally speaking, it's a bad idea to think that they'll do our work for us.

I smell 'Lying With Numbers' here, sadly.

So the author points out the DNC is lower in cash. Ok, I buy that; they've been spending on their '50 State Strategy'.

But, we see the COH for the DCCC and DSCC, but not the RCCC and RSCC. That's odd, no?

Ok, the NRCC says it has $34.1 million (link) on hand, so that's $1.1 million more.

The last numbers I could find for the NRSC says they had $19.9 million on hand, and that'd be $15.2 million *down* from the DSCC.

So overall the GOP has a cash lead, but Novak left out numbers to make it look a lot better than it really is. I hope nobody looks at Novak's numbers and things 'oh, the GOP has so much more, I don't need to donate'. Given the imbalance of cash in the Senate campaign committees, complacency isn't affordable here.

here's the way i see it. if samson can kill philistines with the jawbone of an ass. then the democrats may commit political suicide by figuratively doing the same;
ie running their mouths.

Your link to the article about George Soros: The Shadow Party: FrontPage Interviews Co-Author Richard Poe deserves further notice.

Consider this quote from the above article:

Enter George Soros. After forcing the Democrats into a fiscal crisis, he then offered to rescue them. He set up a network of non-profit, “issue-advocacy” groups – the Shadow Party – and invited all the big Democrat donors to contribute to his network. Thus they could still contribute to the Democrat cause, but without giving directly to the Party. The Party became dependent on Soros to raise campaign contributions which the law now forbade the Party itself to raise.

The enemy is not the Democrat Party. The enemy is the hard left, which includes Soros, Hillary and useful idiot McCain.

The money continues to flow to the left, and they will exert dangerous influence on the upcoming elections of 2006 and 2008.

Very dangerous.

The lack of direct money to the Democrat Party is just a symptom of that money flowing elsewhere, and part of the total domination of them by the hard left.

The hard left is one of our two greatest enemies, the other being the Islamo-Fascists. The left is not getting weaker. It is metastasizing into a more virulent form.

That's the ORIGIONAL 1959 version.

The one that Vontage uses, is by a 3 girl surf-punk group from Japan called "The 5,6,7,8's". The group "performed" the song in the Tarantino movie,"Kill Bill Vol #1".

As far as the song being played at sporting events, if it's the same one as on the Vontage commercials, then that's the one. If you ever heard the origional, (go to Best Buy's site in the music section, search the "Woo-Hoo" song, and they have a 30 second version of BOTH that you can listen to) IMHO, they are NOTHING alike!!
