Typical media on any story that turns out to be false. They scream the wrong story from the heavens and when it turns out it they were wrong they act like nothing happened.
If anyone does catch an Armitage mention, on any of the shows, please ping away.
I may have to watch MTP today. I don't think I can stomach chuckie this early, and Dole won't help.

Fuuny, Powell & Armitage were the heroes during President's 1st term. Now, we understand why. Dictionary could add another meaning for Betrayal, ie., Powell & Armitage.
Way back in 2004 Benetto wrote the following, so he knows why it's so important for the follow-up Armitage story to be discussed and reported.

Ha! What was the whole past three years of Dem and DBM outrage, then? From this whole story we get:
1. Bush lied (16 words in the 2003 SOTU speech) per Joe Wilson
2. The White House Outed a CIA Top Secret agent to stifle critics and punish poor Joe Wilson
3. We simply must have a special prosecutor to look into this abuse by the Administration
4. Carl Rove was periodically moments away from indictment for two years
5. Scooter Libby goes to jail for perjury
Now, cover the above points for thousands and thousands of hours on various television "News" shows, especially our Sunday shows. Throw in one of the Sunday shows hosts (Russert) who was part of the scam....(difference between Fitzgerald's phone interview with Russert and Libby's sworn testimony, for example) and then they state it's only an "inside the Beltway" issue?
Couldn't ONE of these shows bring in Joe Wilson this weekend?
LOL! You know they could but will not, as doing so will make them (including Darlin' Joe) out to be the liars and moonbats they are.
How's that for fair, non-biased coverage of the issues of our day? They'll tell ya to your face that they're not biased. Honest!
Funny, Mathews booked Colin Powell for on 9/11. First he was elsewhere on a remote part of the world that day. I am surprised he would appear with a straight face although Mathews will try his best to paint him as the angel.
Colin Powell and Armitage should be raked over the coals today. But to do so would involve mocking the MSM elite...like Chris Matthews...for being so wrong for so long.
They weren't "wrong." They got caught. Numerous people right here at FR with none of the connections these people have had this figured out from the beginning. The DBM absolutely KNEW Wilson was a liar and this was a manufactured "scandal." What they did they did with knowledge and intent.

Matthews will spend one minute on the day of the attacks and the rest of the show on Iraq.

Even worse, it was Corn who promoted the conspiracy theory in the beginning. Commentary about the new revelations incude the observation that Armitage's role does not fit neatly into the conspiracy charges.
This is like the quality award given to the individuals who moved heaven and earth to fix a problem which they created themselves.

Colin Powell has lawyered up. I think that the worst of it is that Powell was supposed to be a friend of W and withheld information. Some friend.
He has hurt Scooter Libby, the Vice President and the President for no apparent reason other than to cover for Armitage. Gosh, in the dreaded private sector, you let your boss know about things that may/will/did go wrong and to do what you have to do to clean up the mess and prevent it from recurring. Instead, it looks like the act of someone who had an axe to grind.
Spot on comment -- you are absolutely correct. They were/are complicit. Free press? Not in this country, you have a press that is in bed with the DNC, to hell with truth and fact. They make me puke.

He wasn't alone there. I'd read that the leftwing groundswell against Bolton was predicated on Bolton's earlier warnings (unheeded the reality of sending forces to Iraq loomed) against Iran (also conveniently offered the same nuclear package as North Korea by 42).
Note that bit about how I "affectionately" refer to the Old Media as the "Lamestream" media. Heh. There's no affection involved.

Do reporters cover the White House in order to tell the "wonderful story" of George W. Bush? This is patronizing and it's pandering. Journalism and public relations are both respectable professions. But there is a difference between them. When dealing with violent groups in the Middle East do journalists somehow seem to forget this.
You just accurately described yet another DNC crash vehicle careening into yet another brick wall at 175 mph as they valiantly try and lie their way into yet another election. Some traitors never learn.
Good tagline. Thinking about what Powell has done here makes me more and more angry...and worried for my country. I think he allowed this to go on when he could have put a stop to it specifically in order to damage the President and his Administration...in a time of war, no less. That is stabbing the country in the back. And this guy was chairman of the Joint Chiefs. Think about that. He would allow his country to be damaged for his own political purposes and he was the military head of our armed forces. Now he is one of McCain's elite advisors in his presidential campaign along with Armitage.
What did McCain know and when did he know it????
