Your welcome from the D.C. Chapter.

We're not sure which is worst, cold driving rain, freezing weather or 90 degree heat.

Thanks -

You sure picked a very good Friday when you came by several weeks ago. We're always thankful when out-of-towners stop by.

Hey OhioSA, Welcome back to the Walter Reed's Reports! Or at least posting on them.

How's things been going since June? I see you got your FReeper name. Has the Misses got hers yet? Weather has sure changed since you were down here last. Are you going to be able to make it to the big Sept. 23 Support The Troops Rally?

Thanks for the kind words and take care.

Thanks for the Blessing. God must have been looking over us. We all made it to Walter Reed and then back home with no problems.

I really like your "About" page. Sometimes strange, but neat. Can I assume you are a MD and an Iraqi vet, saving our troops' lives on the battle field?

Having been out in all of the above the worst I can remeber is the time I was hikin in freezing rain. The problem with cold rain, is the risk of hypothermia. The cold is not a problem if you dress properly, however it gets so hot in DC that it is difficult to dress properly, as you sweat standing still in only your underwear.

Amen to that. But one does get colder. This "wimp" knows that all to well. Or I'm just getting older.

"Rain or shine."

EVERY time I see these threads: I think back about the bleak days.

The Bleak Days: those days during which Medea Benjamin, et ali owned the PERMITS to hold vigils in front of all four corners of Walter-Reed.

If I was driving by I'd honk my horn. Then I'd have to turn around again just to be able to drive by while honking. Then I'd have to turn around again just to head back to where I was originally headed (of course I'd have to honk as I was driving by for the third time).

I wish there was some sort of government assistance that would pay for me to fly out that way to help you guys protest. Hey, I'm out of work, I have all the time in the world. I have no money.

Who protests now adays any more? Except for people on the government dole. That's not a dig on you guys, nor is it sarcasm: its called black irony at its epitome.

Sun is now down but I still appreciate all the DC Freepers effort.

I just could not convince the family to let me go Friday night. I have to borrow a car from them and they were not going out in that rain themselves.

You guys are real troopers to brave the storm! Thank You.

Apple Blossom - BMW is taking about you again.

They are still accepting Hurricane Katrina damage applications aren't they. Maybe you can get one of the $2500 credit cards. I'm sure there are still some sitting around on Nagin's desk for his cronies.

You are right about the pleasure of having all four corners.

Thanks for your support when you were here.

We're glad your family had some sense and didn't give you the keys. Your still not quick enough to jump between the rain drops and stay dry.

Being out here with your foot still giving you troubles earns you the name "Trooper". You're just not a rainy day trooper, yet.

You are Welcome from the D.C. Chapter.

Love your tag line.

'dustbunny',ummm, please stay away from my dog house, I have enough critters. Go bother BMW, he has a 61" screen. :-))

Hailing from Virginia - you need to come up on Sept. 23.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday.

Thank you both. The D.C. Chapter really appreciates the gratitude and kudos.

It is a trickle UP effect. Everyone's good will to us is directed to the troops. And they really do appreciate us being out there.

And, all of FRee Republic gets the recognition. The main times that we use the name "D.C. Chapter' is to ID our group to police as we roll up to counter the protest groups.

Enjoy the rest of the Labor Day Holiday.

My real point was that due to the heat and humidity of DC summers it is nearly impossible to remove enough clothing to be comfortable and still be properly modest.

Get well soon.
