Well, at least we dodged one bullet. This Austrian Roulette is rather nerve racking!

Affordable doesn't necessarily equal quality. Unfortunately, it usually creates mediocrity. For someone who has little options, they naturally settle for what they can get.
Allow me to illustrate. A dear friend of worked in a job that did not provide health-care insurance due to the states OVER-regulations on small business (Taxes,) and as a result, made it difficult for business owners to afford providing such benefits. My friend had to alternative but to seek government health-care assistance. Given his situation, I fully supported his decision.
During a doctors visit, he inquired about options for coverage on a particular prescription. The receptionist flatly informed him that, "beggars can't be choosy," and (yes, she actually said those words,) presented him with the only "option" for his limited prescription.

That's too bad. I'm sorry, not everyone in the US can get the best medical care money can buy. It's just not possible. That's one of the reasons you work hard. I don't underestand why people believe they have the right to unlimited health care. It truly baffles me.
Coverage on a particular prescription???? If he doesn't have drug coverage...tough. If he's that poor and can't afford it, then there are programs. I love how people have new cars, fine jewelry, and then whine about how much their meds cost.

I'll assume your are not directing that statement specifically to anyone in particular. Namely, my friend. And you and I agree on this point. There are individuals who take advantage of the public health-care system while being irresponsible with their money.
I should be more specific. My friends prescription involved eyeglasses. My point was that the attitude towards my friend by the receptionist speaks volumes. Because I'm considered a minority in the area we live, I've experienced similar bias. There have been occasions where I've walked into a doctors office, and the clerk automatically assumed I had medicare insurance. I've been told they weren't accepting new patients, until the clerk discovered that I had private insurance. The response to this was usually immediate, and I was then treated with respect and professionally.
An unfortunately reality. An example of the difference in medical care.

People who let the Dems win and actually support them are the real enemies of conservatives. Think of what the brave, purple fingered Iraqis have been willing to face, to make sure their vote counts.
Some of the posters on FR actually brag about not bothering to vote.
It's like mass hypnosis!
