This is all speculation on my part, but besides the soaps, Rush is on at 1:45pm.

Tony is savvy enough to know that if the speech is important, Rush will play it through is show, along with his unique brand of commentary afterwards.

Doesn't seem like a good enough reason to break into daytime TV. I would, however, like to see a speech like he gave yesterday to the Military Officers Association of America -- it deserves prime time. Whereas yesterday's speech highlighted and detailed reasons for our actions in the WOT and Iraq, today's speech will more likely draw attention to the failure of his policy on detainees and give the Rats more ammo to point out failed policies from a failed president.
