That's one of the many dem talking points to the ill-informed crowd, since we haven't found or killed OBL, Bush has failed.
I saw Weezely Clark on Cavuto last night and he was repeatedly saying how 'this administration has failed' on the War on Terror and we are no safer, Cavuto called him on every stupid point he tried to make, but Weezely just stuck to his prepared lines as usual. The dems are back in their usual mode, keep saying their lies over and over to program the stupid crowd. It's pathetic, and pathetic that the stupid ones buy it, hook, line and sinker.
Rush was a little perturbed but said that President Bush had to make this move due to the liberals in congress, the courts and left wing lawyers.
He said that GW refused to close down Club Gitmo and sent a message to the libs that wasn't going to happen.
I don't use Savage as a gauge, but I want to see if he reacts to the speech today.

OK.......let's analyze this based on the fact that the speech had not yet been given, and that Minus_the_Bear's idiotic 'read my lips' post was pure negative speculation, shall we?
Had you already concluded that the speculation was accurate?
Had you already concluded that you as 'the base' would be dissatisfied with the speech?
Had you already concluded that there would be no 'red meat' in the President's words?
Had you already concluded that this would be a 'read my lips' betrayal by the President, thus agreeing with Minus' silly post?
You can be honest even though it might be embarrassing now that you know what the President actually said.
Why don't you tell me what you meant by this non-condemnation.....
We are at war, though. It just isn't our war. It is their war, the enemy has brought this. We could still make it our war by declaring war even now. But, we can't call off the war since it isn't our war. That's where the MSM and the other political types are wrong. We can't stop the war.

Savage is an expert at spoken presentation. He has valuable professional insight on speech delivery and content. Those who do not speak for a living would not have the same level of insight. Phil Hendrie is also expert in this.

The only problem is, who do you declare war to? Declarations of war by definition are between Nation states, not amorphous groups. That, and formally declaring war tends to show a level of commitment that no government since WWII has been able to get.
