I read it. I have read the same thing in many other places. Al-Taqiyah is the only explanation for many things concerning Islam.
A few of these things are; the seditious nature of the lies propagated by groups such as CAIR, the funding of 80% of mosques in the USA by the Wahabbists in Saudi Arabia while they claim to be our allies, the silence of the muslim "majority" regarding terrorists and terrorism, the special protection afforded Islam in our public schools which is specifically illustrated by the two weeks of Islamic education mandated in California while suppression of Christians continues apace.......
Actually, I believe the benefits islam derives in liberal America are not unique but are afforded to all "minority" (read:"guest") religions. Public recognition of minority religions (along with suppression of the majority religion) is how liberals "treat all religions equally." Until recently it was Judaism that benefited the most from this policy (which, as a Noachide, embarrasses me no end). But this of course doesn't mean the moslems couldn't be playing the liberals like a violin.
If by "my kinsmen" you mean the Jews, I'm sorry, but I'm just a common "redneck" ("Noachide" means a non-Jew who accepts the Seven Laws of the Sons of Noah). But I understand and appreciate your words.
Like I said, liberals may regard moslems as just another "oppressed minority" with which to club the majority, but that doesn't mean that moslems can't take advantage of the siutation and use the libs for their own purposes.
It's something to think about.
My understanding is it started when Muhammad sent one of his followers into an enemy camp with instructions to say he was leaving Muhammad and wishes to join the other group (Meccans?) Once trusted, he was to kill the enemy chief. The mission was successful.
Many non-Muslims cannot fathom a religious leader sanctioning such subterfuge. But I cannot find it in my Qur'an. I also couldn't find it searching U. of Michigan's Qur'an (using takkiyat as the spelling). [Arabs spell the same word so many different ways, it's as if they're trying to hide something.]
At any rate, if someone could document in which Sura and verse or which Hadith Taqiyah is mentioned, I would appreciate it.

The variations in spelling come from transliterating Arabic into Roman letters. Transliterations always result in various spelling variants (it works that way for Hebrew too).
