Three From Clinton Administration Urge Disney to Cancel or Revise 9/11 Miniseries (Must Watch)

Three From Clinton Administration Urge Disney to Cancel or Revise Sept. 11 Miniseries
By JESSE McKINLEY
Published: September 7, 2006

Three members of the Clinton administration have written the chairman of the Walt Disney Company, ABC’s parent, to complain that the network’s coming two-part miniseries “The Path to 9/11” is fraught with factual errors and fabrications.

The letters ask that the five-hour movie, scheduled for broadcast Sunday and Monday, be either edited for accuracy or canceled, and ABC gave a small indication yesterday that some changes might be made.

One of the officials, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, said in her letter to the Disney chairman, Robert A. Iger, that although she had requested a copy of the film, ABC had not given her one. But, Ms. Albright said, she has been told by people who have seen it that it “depicts scenes that never happened, events that never took place, decisions that were never made and conversations that never occurred.”

“It asserts as fact things that are not fact,” she wrote.

The concerns of Ms. Albright, as well as those in letters from Samuel R. Berger, former national security Adviser, and Bruce Lindsey, a Clinton White House aide who is now chief executive of the Clinton Foundation, were echoed yesterday by several Democratic members of Congress.

ABC, meanwhile, continued to explain that the miniseries, though largely drawn from the report of the Sept. 11 commission, was a dramatization, not a documentary.

But the network appeared to be leaving the door open to last-minute changes in t the film, which cost almost $40 million and is to be shown without any advertisements.

“It is common practice to continue to make edits to strengthen a project right up to the broadcast date,” said Hope Hartman, an ABC spokeswoman.

Just how cool is THAT? I'm teaching my kid about this right now! We, along with the locals, call it the *Crinton reign!

From what I've heard, half of this piece will air Saturday night. The other half will air Sunday...

When you throw a rock into a pack of wolves, the one that howls is the one you hit. This show must be one hell of a big rock because a lot of Dems are howling.

I'm glad Rush watched the media preview so he can tell us what has been edited out of it by Sunday. They don't dare cut too much.

If it's true that X42 himself tried to get this cancelled, it must be hitting the truth about how he did nothing about al Queda for 8 years. Clinton's underlings crawling out from under their rocks to attack it just gives credence to this idea.

Apparently, this is documentation on how the *Crinton goofballs snoozed as Bin Laden plotted. From what I've heard, Madame Albright takes it in the shorts. (And that's one mighty big target - no?)

Slick Willy entered office for two reasons...

1. To be popular
2. To get reelected

Confronting dangers was not part of his agenda and his eight years in office are the historical proof that will eventually be his legacy...... other than the "Red Dress"

Thieves and proven liars are claiming this is not accurate? Must have been too close tot he truth for the scum of the degenerate's administration. When halfbright and the sox packin' document thief open their mouths, they have to tell at least one lie or their faces would turn to stone. Clinton, on the other hand, cannot be shamed with truth because he knows that a too large percentage of Americans will not believe anything told about him in their sick degenrate sycophancy, so he knows he can lie his way out of any truth shown or reported about him. As I piss on his grave someday, I will be remembering his shaking his finger at US and lying through his degenerate democrat teeth.

I think you mean the "Blue Dress", but otherwise, you're dead on accurate. In eight years, he failed to do anything except welfare reform, which the GOP Congress forced on him. As far as foreign policy, if not for Mad Bomber Halfwit(who openly bragged to the press that she forced a war in Kosovo), their wouldn't be anything to speak of, except for his desperate attempt to force Israel to accept a bogus peace deal with Yassir Arafat so he could have a legacy beyond impeachment and Monica Lewinsky. Now that the truth about bin Laden and al Queda is about to come out, revealing what a waste of human flesh he was in the Oval Office, it's panic time.

Yes, I heard Rush talking about it and it's important to remember that he said it's not a free pass for Republicans.

They, too, had some culpability according to the film. But what has the Dems in hysterics is that Clinton was the president for EIGHT YEARS and there are documented instances where he was not serious about getting Bin Laden despite his few botched half-hearted attempts.

They are also enraged because Madame Albright and Sandy Bergler are portrayed as the incompetent bunglars that they really were.

But the thing that really has the Clintonistas furious is that the Monica affair is memtioned!!

Hmm. Nope. Can't imagine it. Because Republicans aren't fascist traitors trying to silence opposing view points, even if it consists entirely of lies and slander, let alone hiding embarassing/unpleasant/compromising information.

I really wish one of the 911 victims would open up a lawsuit against Clinton for failure to act against the terrorist agression in the 90's which allowed 911 to transpire... would make great theater.

A number of screener copies were reviewed.

If there are edits, the screeners will still preserve the original intent. And if one of those were to get out to the masses, it would only highlight the concerns of the Clinton administration which has done all they could to supress their failings.

They're trying to close the barn door after every horse has left the premises. Review copies (like the one Rush saw and owns) are already out. If they do make cuts, someone with access to the original will have all the cut footage up on the Web before Part Two finishes airing, so everyone can see what the Clinton faction found so objectionable.

I'm thinking Albright and the rest would have been far better off just letting things be.

They should put this timeline in the movie:

+ On Jan. 6, 1996, Clinton had a sexual encounter with Lewinsky the White House intern. (Starr Report)

+ Week of Jan. 14 - 21, Clinton had several sessions of phone sex with Lewinsky. (Starr Report)

+ On Jan. 21, Clinton had another sexual encounter with Lewinsky. (Starr Report)

+ On Feb. 4, Clinton activities included a sexual encounter followed by a leisurely chat with Lewinsky, as the two "sat and talked [afterward] for about 45 minutes," (Starr Report)

+ On Feb. 6, U.S. Ambassador to the Sudan Tim Carney met with Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Osman Mohammed Taha at Taha's home in the capital city of Khartoum. "If you want bin Laden, we will give you bin Laden," Foreign Minister Taha told Ambassador Carney. (Losing bin Laden-Richard Miniter)

+ In late February or March, the president telephoned her (Lewinsky) at home and said he was disappointed that, because she had already left the White House for the evening, they could not get together. (Starr Report)

+ On March 10, Sudan's Minister of State for Defense Elfatih Erwa met with the CIA's Africa bureau chief. On instructions from its president, the government of Sudan agreed to arrest bin Laden and hand him over to U.S law enforcement at a time and place of the Clinton administration's choosing. "Where should we send him?" Erwa asked the CIA representative. (Losing bin Laden-Richard Miniter)

**THAT SAME DAY** (March 10)- Ms. Lewinsky took a visiting friend, Natalie Ungvari, to the White House. They bumped into the president, who said when Ms. Lewinsky introduced them, 'You must be her friend from California.' Ms. Ungvari was 'shocked' that the president knew where she was from. (Starr Report)

President Clinton has acknowledged being fully briefed on the Sudanese efforts to turn over the 9/11 mastermind, admitting that he made the final decision to turn the offer down."The Sudanese wanted America to start dealing with them again," Clinton confirmed during a February 2002 speech to a New York business group. (Losing bin Laden-Richard Miniter)

+ On March 31, Clinton had sex with Lewinsky. (Starr Report)

+ On May 18, bin Laden boarded a chartered plane in Khartoum with his wives, children, some 150 al-Qaida jihadists and a cache of arms - and flew off to Jalalabad, Afghanistan. (Losing bin Laden-Richard Miniter)

+ 1998- There had been numerous earlier reports of bin Laden's interest in using aircraft for terror attacks, including a 1998 plot to fly an explosives-laden plane from a foreign country into the World Trade Center. (Curt Anderson, Associated Press Writer)

+ Sunday, April 4, 2004- The ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said Sunday that President Clinton's affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky compromised U.S. national security because it left him unable to deal with the threat posed by al-Qaida.

"What really happened here, I think, is President Clinton's greatest mistake was Monica Lewinsky,"Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., told Fox News Sunday. "And that forced him to take his eye off the ball. He lost the ability to lead the nation."
