Clinton made sure one of the members was a sleezebag lawyer who defended him during Whitewater, (Ben Veniste) and the another was a crook who used her appointed position to cover up treason by the Clintons. The 9/11 commission was about as non-partisan as anything Klink touches.

You have too much faith in the intelligence of the American people. The swing voters are largely unintelligent, tuned-out people. All they know, if anything, is that ABC is backing down because Clinton said they were unfair. They are just as likely to believe Clinton and not question his motives, especially when ABC isn't defending itself.
