My daughter is a complete, hysterical arachniphobe. She totally freaks if she even sees one. So last year she was in my office filling in for our sick secretary when a spider crawled down her neck. No one else was in the main office besides me but she acted as professionally as she could: she gave a strangled squeak, grabbed her shirt at the neck and shot off to the ladies room. Old mom nearly threw up from laughing but she handled it well. (She still freaks at home, though.)

There aren't many local news stations I know of in my area where the newscasters seem professional . Especially on morning shows. It always looks like the news is made by a high school class. The one professional looking newscaster I saw seemed a little stiff. He now reports remotely, rather than in studio.
I doubt that he had much of a career to begin with - outside of the local gay bar. Poor guy, even a real girl would have been embarrassed by his performance. Whatever happened to "the show must go on?"
