A complete workman like effort from Ohio State tonight. Great gameplan and I think the buckeyes defense redeemed themselves a little bit since in the sports talk circuit in was kinda hip to bash the OSU defence. I was amazed at how open the OSU receivers were so often.

I would like to know what teams DON'T allow non team people on their sidelines, I'd cheer for them.

My daughter and friends are at Al's on Campus Corner across from the OU campus and someone just asked them why they were not rooting for the Big 12 and my daughter said because my Mom grew up a Buckeye and my grandfather loved his Buckeyes.
Congrats to the Buckeyes from this OU Sooner Family who has Ohio State a close second!

I once watched a UT game in the box next to the dude. I thought it was cool that he had his own box, he should stay up there and off the side line. I went to the big fan appreciation event at the UT stadium after the season last year, guess who was up on the stage with the coach, chancelor, governor... Bongo Boy.

burnt orange took a hurting tonite..fortunately..it is early..and in the bizarre world of NCAA football..if you must lose..lose early..(I know Notre Dame fans will cry about 93 when they beat FSU then lost to BC all in November..but that was an exception..not fair..but it did happen..)
To: fkabuckeyesrule
Buckeyes were awesome. Did you see in the second quarter, our second-team offensive line was up against what is arguably the best defense in the country and we scored? We're No. 1 ... at least for one more week. :-)

Yes, the band started rainsing funds for this game last season. They likely would not have raised enough money if not for this anonymous benefactor. As popular as OSU football is, there are many others that love the marching band more.
For instance, two hours before each home game, you will find 10,000 to 13,000 fans in St. John's Arena (old basket venue which is next to the football stadium) for the Skull Session. This is a concert by the marching band in full uniform and is a last mental run through of the pre-game and half time shows. Many, including myself will fight the traffic to go to the skull session even without a ticket for the game.
By the way, Tressel started a great tradition a few years ago by bussing the football team and staff over to the skull session to the sound of thousands of buckeye faithfull. They enter still dressed in their travel clothes and stay for about 10 minutes. Its a great ralling moment.
Link for the OSUMB is

I could not believe that Texas bounce kickoff after they tied it 7-7. I knew they would pay for that and they did. Go Bucks !!!!!!

Hey, I was also in the marching band from 76-80 and one the greatest games I ever witnessed was the OSU vs OU game in 1977. Unfortunately we lost that close and very exciting game. Thanks for your support (grin).

Nebraska at USC--USC is going to flatten Nebraska fairly easily.
Michigan at Notre Dame--Notre Dame wins fairly easily, especially since it's a home game for Notre Dame.
LSU at Auburn--next week's "Game of the Year." It could be a very close one, to say the least.
To: fkabuckeyesrule
And how about that "helmet-to-helmet"? ... Pah-leeze.

Kudos to OSU yet again! Nice display of Big Ten football the old-fashioned way.
This notion about 'national champions' is such nonsense.
Bo really championed this during this first ever, century+ 'timeout' at the Big House due to lightening this afternoon. He doesn't give a crap about national championships, it's about winning the league.
May the best team win.
OSU, will kick some serious buttocks this season but they will only get nervous on one day, Nov. 18th, when the maize and blue visit.
Win or lose, still the greatest rivalry in college football and always will be. (Of course unless if the indy's ever get the courage to join a league and play well for a century).
